Chapter 73: Cult Leader Geto Suguru
The headquarters of the Star Plasma Cult was hidden within a rather grand traditional residence in Tokyo. Outwardly, it appeared to be a bustling religious site with a constant flow of worshippers, but inside, an indescribable atmosphere, a mixture of fanaticism and despair, permeated the air.
Toho Hiroshi's figure, like ink dissolving in water, silently penetrated the perimeter defenses, which would have been impenetrable to ordinary people, appearing directly in the innermost courtyard.
Here, the Cursed Energy concentration had significantly increased, and the air carried a strange scent, a mixture of faint sandalwood and the remnants of Cursed Spirits.
He did not deliberately conceal his presence.
Almost the instant he stepped into the inner courtyard, two petite figures, imbued with considerable Cursed Energy, darted out from behind a pillar like startled birds, blocking his path, their eyes filled with vigilance and hostility—it was Nanako and Mimiko.
They clearly recognized Toho Hiroshi, their expressions growing even more tense, their hands tightly gripping Cursed Tools and cell phones.
"It's you?"
"How did you find this place?!"
Toho Hiroshi didn't even look at them, his gaze passing directly over them to the shoji door slowly opening at the back of the courtyard.
A figure slowly walked out.
Geto Suguru.
He wore his five-striped robe, that iconic wisp of hair on his forehead gently swaying in the breeze, a gentle, even benevolent, shallow smile on his face—the mask of the "Star Plasma Cult Leader."
But the moment he saw Toho Hiroshi, a subtle crack appeared in that mask; a trace of genuine, unfeigned surprise flickered through his slender eyes.
He raised a hand, signaling the highly alarmed Nanako and Mimiko to retreat.
"Toho?"
Geto Suguru's voice carried a hint of imperceptible scrutiny and shock. "This is... an unexpected visitor."
His gaze quickly swept over Toho Hiroshi, keenly sensing the profound, calm aura on him, utterly different from his time at Jujutsu High, as well as a coldness and detachment as if he had undergone complete destruction and rebirth.
"I've heard some rumors about you."
Geto Suguru chose his words carefully, his tone complex. "Slaughtering The Higher-Ups, directly clashing with Gojo Satoru, and finally defecting."
As he uttered the last two words, there was an almost absurd sense of confirmation in his voice.
He knew better than anyone how much Toho Hiroshi valued "comrades" and understood the seemingly quarrelsome yet unbreakable bond between Toho Hiroshi and Gojo Satoru.
Precisely because of this, Toho Hiroshi's "defection" seemed so incredible, even more shocking than his own decision back then.
Toho Hiroshi met his gaze, his expression calm and unruffled. Deep within his left eye, a faint purple ripple silently flowed, taking in Geto Suguru's subtle emotional fluctuations and the flow of Cursed Energy within his body.
"It seems news travels fast."
Toho Hiroshi's voice was low, devoid of emotion. "Then, let's skip the unnecessary explanations."
Geto Suguru was silent for a moment, the surprise slowly fading from his face. The gentle, Cult Leader's smile reappeared, but with a touch more genuine warmth than before—an emotion difficult to completely conceal when facing an old sworn friend.
"Indeed, no explanation is needed. Whatever the reason, your arrival itself speaks volumes."
He turned slightly, making an inviting gesture: "Welcome to the Star Plasma Cult, Toho. It seems the twisted truth of this world cannot be hidden forever. You and I have both seen the decay beneath this festering wound."
His words carried an implied satisfaction of finding a "kindred spirit."
The two walked into the inner room and sat opposite each other.
Nanako and Mimiko stood guard outside the door, still vigilant.
Geto Suguru personally brewed tea, his movements elegant and unhurried, as if they were not in a cult's lair but reliving old times at Jujutsu High.
"So."
Geto Suguru pushed a cup of tea towards Toho Hiroshi, looking up at him, his gaze sincere and ardent. "Since you have broken free from that hypocritical framework, Hao, will you join me?"
"We were once the strongest duo. Now, we have a clearer goal and stronger convictions."
His voice gradually took on the seductive power of a "Cult Leader," yet it was also mixed with a genuine invitation.
"Eliminate all Non-Sorcerers, eradicate the source of curses, and create a world solely for Jujutsu Sorcerers—this is the true righteousness, the only way to end this twisted cycle."
"Your power, combined with my ideology, we will surely..."
"Your method is too inefficient and will lead to endless problems."
Toho Hiroshi calmly interrupted him, his tone as cold as ice, without the slightest hint of emotion.
Geto Suguru's words stopped abruptly, his slender eyes slightly narrowed, seemingly not expecting such a direct rejection. The smile on his face faded somewhat: "Oh? It seems you have a better idea?"
Toho Hiroshi looked directly at him, the Rinnegan pattern in his left eye faintly visible, exuding a chilling majesty.
"Slaughter? Screening? Do you know how many Non-Sorcerers there are on this planet? Seven billion. Even if they stood still for you to kill, how long would it take? How many new curses, born from fear and despair, would arise during that time? Your 'righteousness' might ultimately only create a world where curses run rampant, a true hell."
Geto Suguru's face darkened: "That's still better than this breeding ground of tragedy, dominated by ignorant fools! This is a necessary sacrifice!"
"Sacrifice is meaningless."
Toho Hiroshi's voice was decisive. "Moreover, Gojo Satoru won't stand by. Our former classmates and teachers won't either. This path is destined to be full of thorns, and its destination is not the pure land you desire, but eternal conflict and destruction."
Geto Suguru gripped his teacup, his knuckles slightly white, a hint of bloodlust in his eyes: "Then tell me, is there a better way? Should we just let all of this continue?"
"Yes."
Toho Hiroshi uttered a single word, and the room seemed to be instantly enveloped by an invisible force field.
His left Rinnegan fully emerged, its cold, pale purple ripples slowly rotating, as if containing the cycle of creation and destruction of the universe.
"Since the world's distortion stems from humanity's negative emotions, from this irreconcilable contradiction.
Then, the most fundamental solution is not to eliminate one side, but to..."
"Create a whole new 'world.'"
Geto Suguru's pupils constricted: "What do you mean?"
"The eye of the moon plan."
Toho Hiroshi's voice was like an ancient oracle, deep and full of undeniable power. "Gather the vast curses and Cursed Energy of the world, converge them into ultimate energy powerful enough to illuminate the night sky, and project it onto the moon in the firmament."
"At that time, the Infinite Tsukuyomi will be activated. Wherever its light reaches, all living beings—both Jujutsu Sorcerers and Non-Sorcerers—will achieve eternal peace and satisfaction in an illusion, a perfect world without pain, without conflict, where only their deepest desires are realized."
"There, a world for Jujutsu Sorcerers will naturally be achieved. No discrimination, no persecution, no curses arising from negative emotions. Everyone will get the 'happiness' they desire."
The room fell into a deathly silence.
