Chapter 75 - Chapter 74: Eye of the Moon

Chapter 74: Eye of the Moon

Suguru Geto was completely stunned, the mask of a cult leader on his face shattered, leaving only immense shock and a trace of bewilderment from being impacted by this insane ambition.

He had anticipated that Toho Hiroshi might not agree with his path, might try to dissuade him, or even resort to armed conflict.

But he had never imagined hearing a plan that far exceeded the limits of his imagination.

Infinite Tsukuyomi?

A global genjutsu?

Eternal happiness.

This sounded like a fantasy, a power that only existed in myths.

But... he looked at Toho Hiroshi's Rinnegan, which was clearly not a joke, felt the unfathomable, almost inhuman aura emanating from him, and the logic behind the plan, which was both utterly ruthless and utterly 'perfect'... Slaughtering seven billion was a sin, but dragging seven billion people into an eternal illusion, what was that?

Was this truly a better method?

"Infinite Tsukuyomi?"

Suguru Geto subconsciously repeated the term, his voice dry.

He found that the 'righteous cause' he had constructed seemed somewhat small and narrow in the face of this colossal plan that encompassed the entire world.

Toho Hiroshi watched the violent wavering in his eyes, slowly raised the stakes, his voice carrying a fatal allure:

"Yes, Infinite Tsukuyomi. This is the truly permanent 'eradication,' eradicating the source of the world's pain and curses, not specific people."

"And achieving it requires an unimaginably vast amount of energy. Your actions of collecting cursed spirit orbs are not contradictory to this; in fact, they could be said to lead to the same destination through different paths."

"Suguru, your 'righteous cause' might be realized in another form. A world of Jujutsu Sorcerers without sacrifice, without bloodshed, where everyone can be 'happy.'"

Suguru Geto fell completely silent. He lowered his head, his bangs obscuring his expression, revealing only his tightly clenched, slightly trembling fists.

His heart felt as if it were undergoing a world-shattering tsunami.

Toho Hiroshi said nothing more, merely watching him quietly, his left Rinnegan deep as a pool, awaiting his sworn friend's decision.

Would he stubbornly cling to that solitary path stained with blood, or embrace this seemingly 'perfect' yet more profoundly insane blueprint for salvation?

Inside the Star Plasma Cult's inner chamber, the air solidified, leaving only two sworn friends who had deviated from the light, and an eye of the moon plan capable of overturning the entire world.

The room remained dead silent for a long time, with only faint breathing and traces of Cursed Energy slowly flowing in the air.

Suguru Geto kept his head down, the shadow cast by his bangs completely obscuring his expression. Only his tightly clenched fists were visible, knuckles white from exertion and slightly trembling.

Toho Hiroshi's words, along with the immensity and madness of the 'eye of the moon plan,' repeatedly hammered at his understanding like a heavy hammer.

Create a perfect world in an illusory dream?

Compared to his 'righteous cause' of eradicating curses by physically eliminating Non-Sorcerers, this indeed veered to another extreme, a realm he had never imagined, almost divine.

After a long while, Suguru Geto slowly raised his head. The gentle mask of the cult leader on his face had long vanished, replaced only by exhaustion and deep confusion after an intense struggle.

The blood-red hue in his slender eyes hadn't faded, but they were filled with bewilderment.

"Toho..."

His voice was hoarse. "What you said... Infinite Tsukuyomi... sounds like a myth. Can it really be achieved? What immense power would it require...?"

"Power will come."

Toho Hiroshi's voice was steady and certain, his left Rinnegan radiating an undeniable majesty. "The key lies in determination and method. And my eyes have already seen the path."

He suddenly changed the subject, his gaze sharply fixed on Suguru Geto, and posed an even more shocking question: "Suguru, before that, do you want to know? If you persist on your current path of 'righteousness,' what will be its ultimate outcome? And... what impact will you ultimately have on this world, on future generations?"

Suguru Geto's body trembled violently, his pupils contracting sharply: "You... what do you mean?"

Within Toho Hiroshi's left eye, the ripples of the Rinnegan seemed to emanate an even deeper light, carrying a mysterious sense of penetrating time and space.

"Perhaps because of the awakening of these eyes, perhaps for other reasons... I occasionally glimpse fragments of the future."

He spoke slowly, his tone carrying an elusive quality, difficult to discern as truth or falsehood, "Regarding your future, I happened to see some things."

This was, of course, a lie.

What he knew came from the 'original work' knowledge of another timeline.

But at this moment, it was the most powerful, most direct weapon.

Suguru Geto's breathing suddenly quickened.

Predicting the future?

This sounded even more preposterous than Infinite Tsukuyomi!

But the changes happening to Toho Hiroshi were already beyond common sense, and the oppressive feeling from those eyes was real.

Moreover, concerning one's own destiny, no one could be anything but curious, and afraid.

"My... outcome?"

Suguru Geto's voice carried a tremor he himself didn't notice.

"Yes."

Toho Hiroshi's voice deepened, as if narrating a predetermined tragedy, "I see you persisting on the path of eliminating Non-Sorcerers, gathering strength, and ultimately heading towards an unavoidable confrontation with Tokyo Jujutsu High, with Satoru Gojo, and with me."

"You will fail, Suguru."

Toho Hiroshi's words were cold as a knife, decisive, "Not because your ideals are not firm enough, nor because your strength is insufficient, but because the end of this path is itself a desperate precipice.

You will be betrayed by your own, and the 'family' you cherish may also suffer misfortune because of you."

"Ultimately, you will die... at Satoru Gojo's hands."

Toho Hiroshi deliberately paused, letting this information hit Suguru Geto hard, "Your best friend will personally put an end to your ideals and your suffering."

"And your impact on future generations..."

Toho Hiroshi continued, his tone carrying a complex hint of sarcasm, "The 'righteous cause' you pursued with everything you had will not end with your death."

"Instead, it will become a fuse, a perfect tool to be used by the mastermind behind the scenes. Your death, your ideals, even your physical body, will be defiled and exploited, becoming the key to igniting a greater catastrophe, giving rise to more and deeper despair and curses."

"The Non-Sorcerer world you wished to purge may not change, but the Jujutsu World will slide into a deeper abyss and chaos because of your choices."

"This is the end of the 'righteous cause' you chose. To die alone, and to be used as a stepping stone for an even greater tragedy."

After Toho Hiroshi finished speaking, he said nothing more, merely watching Suguru Geto silently with his Rinnegan.

Suguru Geto was struck by lightning, his face instantly turning ashen white.

He abruptly took a step back, bumping into the low table behind him. A teacup overturned, emitting a crisp shattering sound, but he was completely oblivious.

Dying at Satoru Gojo's hands... ideals being exploited, becoming a breeding ground for disaster... Nanako and Mimiko suffering because of him... just hearing these images caused him a heart-wrenching pain and suffocating despair.
