Chapter 2 - 2. clique talent testing.

A few weeks later, Adam lived a childlike life a life he never experienced.

Inside of the humble home of Adam, as his mom was cooking breakfast his dad looked seriously at Adam then spoke.

"Son you would be forced to take part in the affinity and talent evaluation, but don't worry about the results even if you ended up with bad results we wouldn't care about things like that, and if your father has probably the worst result but still I became a great father and raised a family, the results don't really matter much as long as you find your own path to happiness I wouldn't be much worried for your future, so son man up and be like your dad, hahaha!." The advice and words that my father spoke is filled with seriousness yet also humorous just so he can comfort me not to worry so much about the results.

The affinity and talent test is about testing the potential of younglings and all children ranging from 6-7 are required to attend, the talent test only required a child to drip a bit of blood into an altar and the altar would react based on your affinity connection, towards the two paths from what I have read on books the altar would react on your talent on the two paths being 'aura' and 'mana' the reaction of the altar is in the appearance of the glow of stars placed above the altar the higher the star counts the greater the talent, and the affinity test requires mages and knights to personally check your specializations and elemental affinity.

One year later, I am now 6 years old and today is the day of evaluation in what I will be doing in the future, being a knight or mage would be cool but personally like what my parents have told me even though both of them didn't have any affinity in magic or aura they still managed to live comfortably, so if I get nothing it doesn't really matter i could be great without mana or aura.

The sound of my parents voices called out.

"Son it's time to head out for the evaluation."

I replied.

"Yes father I am coming."

I can't help but be exited on what would I get, but expectations can be nothing but a burden so I decided to not expect too much.

After walking for a few minutes we arrived at the talent awakening hall, I can't believe the people of the holy knights-order would be here, and those people in robes they are from the mages tower.

The hall of people parents and children, different emotions are everywhere some are nervous some excited and some kids even start crying for no reason but then being kids things like this is normal.

The evaluation started shortly as the evaluator called for people's names and made them drip blood at the altar.

"Number 1 Reinhard Clark, parents accompany your children through the platform."

As the blood slowly dripped the reaction I was anticipating finally happened.

The evaluation was successful and the evaluator shouted the results.

"Reinhard Clark, 'mana' talent two star, 'aura' talent one star."

His parents are visibly excited after knowing that their child has a chance to be a mage, but the trio from the mages tower looked visibly disappointed.

Then the man dressed in white robes and the ones radiating the aura of a sage spoke.

"This yearly assessment is quite mediocre, already 80% have done their evaluation and none even had 4 stars."

Then the other member, a woman dressed in a fine robe complementing her beauty, also spoke.

"Old Man don't expect too much after all there are only 5 six stars in this kingdom, and worst is that includes me and you so stop babbling!."

The old man seeing her companion lashing out just sighed deeply then sat down comfortably, no longer complaining after all talents are extremely rare.

And I didn't expect how rare these talents are, it's been 2 and a half hours and most of them have already done their talent evaluation, now I am truly nervous even two stars is like a 20% in my estimation.

Then a name was shouted, and Adam recognized the name instantly it was his neighbor and good friend Elaine, even though he is like an older brother to her they are still considered friends.

The evaluators loud and serious tone spoke out and shouted.

"Elaine hampire, 'mana' talent five stars, 'aura' talent three stars."

The mages after hearing the results was in awe of the great news, the one with glasses then spoked out.

"We actually hit the jackpot this time!."

Elaine looked visibly happy not removing her gaze at the altar announcing five stars.

The evaluator showed a rare expression of joy and excitement, then approached Elaine's parents seemingly discussing something.

Adam could not help himself but be proud of his friend Elaine, looking at her proudly humping her chest in public gazing with pride and arrogance, and in the split second of looking down she saw someone familiar, and immediately rebuked her arrogant demeanor.

Elaine left the altar in sheer amazement of her peers.

But Adam didn't even look surprised.

After a few more minutes of evaluation, it was finally the turn of Adam.
