Chapter 3 - Goblins, Glory, and a Very Enthusiastic Victory Celebration

The Whispering Woods lived up to its name. Tall ancient trees rustled with soft voices, sunlight filtered through emerald leaves in golden shafts, and the occasional glowing butterfly flitted past like living confetti. It would have been peaceful if not for the distant sound of crude laughter and the stench of unwashed goblin.

Alex rode between Elara and Lirael, still getting used to the smooth gait of his new horse. His shiny new sword bounced at his hip, and the "Hero of Light" emblem on his tunic glowed faintly whenever he felt excited.

"So," he asked, trying to sound heroic, "how many goblins are we talking about?"

Elara scanned the treeline, hand resting on her sword hilt. "Scout reports say a small camp of twenty to thirty. Nothing the Hero cannot handle with proper preparation."

Lirael floated lazily beside them on a disk of purple magic, legs crossed, one finger twirling a strand of silver hair. "And by 'proper preparation' she means another round of sacred bonding in the bushes. How romantic."

Elara shot her a glare. "Focus, mage! This is a serious mission."

"I am focused," Lirael replied innocently. "Focused on how adorable you look when you're pretending you don't want to pin our Hero against the next tree."

Alex chuckled. "Ladies, please. Let's at least kill some goblins before we schedule the after-party."

They crested a small hill and spotted the camp below: a messy cluster of hide tents, a central fire pit, and about twenty-five goblins arguing over a stolen chicken. Crude spears and rusty swords lay scattered around.

"Standard starter mob layout," Alex muttered. "Perfect."

Elara drew her sword, silver-blue blade catching the light. "I will take the front. Hero, stay behind me and—"

"Actually," Alex interrupted, feeling surprisingly confident thanks to the two bonding sessions and his new Knight's Passionate Charge skill, "let's try something fun. Lirael, can you distract them with illusions?"

The elf's eyes sparkled. "Oh, I like the way you think."

She raised her hands. Sparkling motes of magic swirled, and suddenly three illusory copies of Alex appeared at the edge of the camp, each one striking dramatic hero poses and shouting, "Behold! The Hero of Light has come to kick your green asses!"

The goblins panicked instantly. Half of them charged the illusions, swinging wildly at thin air. The other half scrambled for weapons, tripping over each other.

Elara didn't wait. She charged down the hill like a silver comet, sword flashing. One swing sent two goblins flying. Another cleaved a spear in half.

Alex followed, sword in hand. Thanks to the passive buff from Elara, his movements felt sharper, stronger. He parried a clumsy goblin thrust, then kicked the creature into a tent, collapsing it.

Lirael stayed back, launching precise bolts of purple energy that exploded in colorful fireworks, knocking goblins off their feet without killing them outright. "Non-lethal is more elegant," she called cheerfully.

Within ten minutes the fight was over. Most goblins had fled screaming into the woods. A few lay unconscious, tied up neatly by Elara's spare rope.

Alex planted his sword in the dirt and wiped sweat from his brow. "That was… actually pretty easy."

Elara sheathed her sword and turned to him, breathing hard but smiling. "You fought well, my Hero. The Goddess's blessing is already showing."

Lirael dismissed her magic disk and sauntered over, hips swaying. "And now comes the best part of any successful quest." She clapped her hands, and a soft dome of purple light expanded around the clearing, creating a cozy, private barrier. "Soundproof and privacy wards. Perfect for celebrations."

Elara's eyes widened. "Lirael! We are still on duty—"

"We are on a victory break," the elf corrected smoothly. She stepped close to Alex, trailing a finger down his chest. "Besides… the Hero's stamina is clearly enhanced. It would be irresponsible not to test how much stronger he has become."

Alex felt his pulse quicken. The new Charm Aura was definitely working—both women were looking at him with unmistakable hunger mixed with affection.

Elara hesitated only a second before her tsundere walls cracked. "...Fine. But only because it will strengthen the party for the journey back."

What followed was pure, joyful chaos.

Lirael started by casting a gentle warming spell that made every touch feel electric. She kissed Alex first, slow and teasing, using her tongue playfully while her hands worked open his tunic. Elara watched for a moment, cheeks flushed, then stepped in behind him, pressing her armored body against his back.

"You were reckless again," Elara murmured against his ear, voice husky. "Let me reinforce your resolve."

Clothes came off in a hurried, laughing tangle. Elara's remaining armor pieces clattered to the forest floor. Lirael's elegant robes pooled like spilled wine. Soon Alex found himself on a soft bed of conjured grass and blankets Lirael had summoned, with both women lavishing attention on him.

Elara was intense and passionate, riding him with the same focused determination she showed in battle. Lirael was playful and creative, using light illusions to create teasing sensations and whispering naughty encouragements in his ear. At one point they even coordinated—Elara kissing him deeply while Lirael used her magic to heighten every movement.

The System kept up a cheerful commentary.

Moans, laughter, and soft cries echoed inside the privacy barrier. Elara came first with a surprised, throaty gasp, her strong thighs clamping around him. Lirael followed soon after, giggling breathlessly as sparkles burst from her fingertips.

They collapsed together in a warm, sweaty pile—Alex in the middle, Elara curled against his left side looking blissfully content, Lirael draped across his right with a satisfied cat-like smile.

"That," Alex panted, "was the best victory celebration I've ever had."

Lirael traced lazy circles on his chest. "Wait until we add more members. My experiments will only get more… creative."

Elara huffed but nuzzled closer. "Do not give him ideas. Though… it did feel stronger this time."

As the sun began to dip lower, the privacy barrier faded. They dressed slowly, stealing kisses and gentle touches. Elara's usual strict posture was gone, replaced by a soft, protective warmth. Lirael looked genuinely happy, her teasing toned down to affectionate playfulness.

On the ride back toward the castle, Alex glanced at his two companions and felt a strange sense of rightness.

He had died stupidly on Earth.

He had woken up in a fantasy world as a prophesied hero.

And instead of epic lone-wolf battles, he was building a party through laughter, trust, and very enthusiastic group activities.

The Demon Lord's army?

Still out there somewhere, probably plotting dramatically.

But right now, with Elara's hand occasionally brushing his and Lirael humming a cheerful elven tune, Alex couldn't bring himself to care.

"Let's do this again sometime," he said with a grin.

Elara rolled her eyes, but her smile betrayed her. "Only after proper training, my Hero."

Lirael winked. "Or during. I'm flexible."

Alex laughed loudly, the sound echoing through the glowing woods.

This was going to be one hell of a adventure.
