In a rowdy classroom, a conversation between two students ensured. Dressed in white shirts and blue slacks, two boys of the ages of fourteen talked in hushed tones.
"They say the war in the west hasn't ended and students are likely to be deployed, hear that Harris, we might go to war..."
The hushed voice of a particular student echoed through the noise, directed towards another,
"Hey, hey Gerald, don't you worry about the petty stuff, besides, for us students to be deployed would be a major tactical flaw. Sending kids to a war meant for adults is nothing more than a distasteful joke,"
"I hear you Harris, I hear you but, doesn't the prospect of going to war against our enemies excite you. The freedom of employing our blessed techniques, the brutality and speed of growth, isn't that not desirable enough, right, Harris?"
"You really are a madman, Gerald."
The hushed conversation between Gerald and Harris was left to an abrupt conclusion as a somber silence descended between the two individuals, Harris taking short glances towards the stubby Gerald as the stood beside each other, facing the sprawling training field.
"But you know what Gerald... I like it, that idea of yours. The freedom of using our blessed techniques without inhibition would undoubtedly be addictive, after all, within the school premises any use of our techniques would bring strict punishment, so yeah, it would be nice."
A short chuckle escaped from Gerald childlike countenance,
"... I knew you would see the benefit of it,"
They continued gazing towards the golden training field, the morning light illuminating is fine quality though the rowdy classroom made it almost impossible to have a moment of peace instead they continued their incessant ramblings, Gerald and Harris sharing the solemn view of the training grounds, their imaginations running amok as they envisioned within themselves, the blood, death, horrible sounds, the freedom, glory, valor, honor and above all, the fulfillment of being the ones responsible for ending the raging war tormenting the west.
Such was the glory the students attending this academia sought, fueling them to become worthy to achieve the glory long sought after since ancient times.
Imagining it all with peaceful expressions, the two then sensed something wrong within the atmosphere they called the "classroom," that it was silent.
Then their imaginings being disrupted by the sudden silence brought throughout the whole classroom, they both turned their heads simultaneously, each gaze landing towards the white arched door.
Beholding the cause of the sudden shift each student had a surprised expression. Hair as black as shadow, glowing amethyst eyes that contained an ancient allure, a lean but muscular build propping up his whole stature and a handsome face to boot. Truly, what an enviable young man he was.
"Ughhh, not him again.."
Harris mumbled begrudgingly as the tall handsome person made his way through the ascending stairs of the classroom making his way towards the edge of the class.
Step, Step, Step,
His steps echoed as he ascended the stairs, approaching the two students who had stood facing the training grounds, his nonchalant expression carrying a weight like no other,
"Supreme Commander: Alderen Von Guzstav."
Gerald gently muttered as the person known as Alderen Von Guzstav made his way through the two standing individuals effortlessly, taking his seat beside the window frame. His posture calm, his bearing composed as he sat there, his eyes shut to the attention he had attracted.
The whole classroom had come to a halt as they had observed the entire manifestation of the actions made by Alderen solemnly. Their eyes solemnly fixed as the morning light fell upon the figure of Alderen, as though the world had anointed him greatly, giving him favor above all else.
Solemnly they witnessed...
"ARGHH, ENOUGH OF THIS!!!"
An angry roar shook the reverie out of the beholden students, its fiery voice bringing attention to itself. Hair as blue as flowing water paired with features that would bring envy to most, the owner of the violent roar made his way towards the meditating individual of Alderen. With angry strides he approached, his expression marred with anger and hate,
"Oi, Mr Supreme Commander, you got a lot of nerve coming in here after what you did."
Murmurings began as the gruff angry tone of the young man continued.
"I'm talking to you, Mr Supreme Commander or don't you hear me?! Maybe that's how you dogs of the east managed to wage countless wars against us, because you don't hear or perhaps listen.."
He was goading, and whatever he wanted to do seemed to have worked as Alderen opened his shut eyes, hate brimming from his violet eyes.
"I shall grant you pardon for your irrespective speech, provided you apologize for your great impudence."
The whole class stood in shock as they registered the cold words of the supreme commander, Harris and Gerald surprised at the effective goading of the blue haired fellow and that seemed to add to his impudence as his hate warped expression, twisted in dark delight.
'good, I got him where I wanted, now..'
"Mr Supreme Commander, you seem to misunderstand something with this whole scenario, Its you that's got to apologize for what you did, besides what can you even do to me, an heir of a great family?"
His mocking tone angered the supreme commander as his hate filled eyes threatened to burn with undisguised hate, rising from his seat, Alderen towered over the supposed heir, his lean figure rippling with power as his flowing black hair turned a shade darker.
"Listen here, worm, I care not whether you're from greatness or peasantry but know this, anyone and I mean anyone who mocks me and my country shall suffer the pains of the impudence, heir or not, peasant or not, royalty or not.. Anybody willing shall suffer what is due.."
His anger hot as he made his declaration, the silence within the class so deep that one could hear an ant crawl. A great anger twisting the already warped expression of the heir, arose as short silver lights escaped from his trembling being, what great wrath it was, as he muttered,
"bastard.. I'll kill you.."
The great anger that had burned within him, escaped through short trembling's his body made. Whatever had happened, it seemed as though the confident answers given by Alderen, stoked whatever was there, eliciting such a rapid response.
"Ho, what can a worm like you do? All you've done is bark and bark, so tell me, worm what can an insignificant person like you even do to me? All you've done is mock my country and me, what great impudence must you have to tread such folly?"
The already short silver lights began lasting longer as they began to take the transient shape of light blobs, wading in and out of existence.
"Oi, Harris, we gotta leave or we might get trapped within the cross fire."
Hurriedly nodding, the two left the close vicinity as they went closer towards the door. Then something strange happened, the already forming blobs of light stopped at once as his expression turned uncharacteristically cold, his sapphire eyes calm, as though void of any emotion, till he uttered,
"Legionnaire, Typhoen Higritras."
He to answered back, uttering,
"Supreme Commander, Alderen Von Guzstav."
With that, Typhoen turned to leave, taking a short glance at the looming figure of Alderen, snorting quietly as he made his way towards the opposite side of the class, descending the stairs he had took before, the class quietly observing the dispute with solemn expressions.
"Alright students, take your seats."
A lazy, limpid voice echoed throughout the auditorium classroom. Walking lazily towards her desk, a voluptuous woman donning a red dress with a white coat entered. From her posture to her way of talk, one could tell she knew not of the previous tension as her burgundy boots carried her towards her desk, leaving behind thumping sounds as she walked. The students seeing her, quietly shuffled back to their seats taking short glances towards the two individuals who had caused a disturbance within the rowdy classroom.
Placing her register atop the wooden desk, the ashen haired woman spoke,
"Today we shall learn about En or what the common populace calls mana. Take notes, listen well and understand."
