At the very least, Charles knew that he was done. And fortunately, he didn't suffer the same ill fate as John, being thrown at the feet of his fellow clansmate like a disposed corpse.
Alas, it didn't save him from the angry and disappointed glares of his clan elders.
They couldn't believe it. Did they really raise a bunch of greenhouse flowers? Why the hell are these kids so fragile? How could they lose all fighting ability after receiving a single punch from Ren?
How utterly shameful indeed.
Initially, they thought that, at the very least, Charles might change something. But nope, he went down just as shamefully as Hayden did. Once again, Ren played them like a cheap kazoo, and they couldn't even do anything about it.
With Charles down, there's only one person left in the prodigies of the White Haven Clan. He's their last hope, the only person who will decide whether they leave this place with some dignity left or none at all.
