Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Awakening Toon Force

The next morning, Kevin drove through the colorful streets of Springfield toward Roger Rabbit's house. The GPS guided him to a surprisingly large, whimsical two-story home with a bright red roof, oversized windows, and a massive backyard visible from the street. It looked like it had been drawn by a cheerful animator, tall, slightly crooked in a charming way, and full of cartoon personality.

Roger Rabbit was already waiting at the front door, bouncing on his heels with excitement. "Kevin! You made it! Come in, come in!"

Kevin stepped inside and was immediately greeted by Jessica Rabbit, who was elegantly seated in the living room with a cup of coffee. She wore a simple yet stunning house dress that still accentuated her iconic figure.

"Good morning, Kevin," Jessica said with a warm smile. "Roger told me you'd be coming for training today."

Kevin greeted her politely. "Good morning, Jessica. Nice to see you again."

After a quick cup of coffee and some light conversation, Roger eagerly led Kevin to the enormous backyard.

"Perfect spot for training!" Roger declared, spreading his arms wide. The yard was huge, with plenty of open space, trees, and even a small stage-like platform that looked like it had been used for cartoon gags before.

Roger gestured for Kevin to sit with him on the grass. He looked at him curiously. "Before we start, tell me. What do you already know about Toon Force? How much have you been able to use it so far?"

Kevin rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "I know the basics. It's the power that lets certain toons bend reality and ignore physical laws. I learned that from Cobra Bubbles. I can feel something inside me this chaotic, energetic feeling, especially when I'm in Toon Form. But I can't actually access or use it. It feels… locked. Like it's there, but I don't know how to turn the key."

Roger nodded thoughtfully, then grinned. "That makes sense. Most people need a push to awaken it properly."

He leaned forward with sparkling eyes. "It's like those xianxia stories! I'll push my own Toon Force directly into your heart core to awaken it. Lie down, take off your shirt, and relax."

Kevin did as instructed, lying flat on the grass with his upper body bare. Roger knelt beside him and placed both hands firmly over Kevin's heart.

"Ready? Here we go!"

Roger closed his eyes and began channeling. A bright, swirling aura of multicolored energy erupted from his hands. Kevin felt an immediate rush, chaotic, vibrant power flooding into his chest like liquid lightning mixed with pure chaos.

Roger continued speaking as he channeled the energy, his voice calm but excited. "Toon Force has five main stages of mastery. Most toons never get past Stage 1 or 2.

Stage 1: Spark - You can do small, simple things. You can shapeshift your body, stretch your arm a little longer, make a small object bounce, or survive a big fall without injury.

Stage 2: Flow - You start controlling it better, create simple tools out of thin air, or temporarily ignore gravity.

Stage 3: Expression - This is where it gets fun. You can fully change your appearance and a part of the surrounding, summon bigger objects, and create cartoon gags on purpose.

Stage 4: Creation - You can bend reality around you more freely, change the environment, create complex items, or affect other people slightly.

Stage 5: Dominion, The rarest stage. Only a few toons in history have reached it. You can rewrite local rules of physics for a short time, create entire temporary scenes, or perform near-godlike feats of cartoon logic."

Roger's hands glowed brighter as he poured more energy into Kevin. "Right now, you're at Stage 0. But I can feel the potential in you. Just relax and let it flow…"

Kevin gritted his teeth as the chaotic energy surged through his body. His limbs twitched and stretched involuntarily, cartoon stars and lightning bolts flashing around him. The sensation was overwhelming, like every cell in his body was being rewired with pure, unfiltered cartoon logic.

The world around them started to shift.

The grass beneath Kevin stretched and twisted like living rubber. Trees in the backyard grew and shrank dramatically, their leaves turning into colorful balloons before popping back to normal. Cartoon stars and exclamation marks exploded around them as reality itself seemed to glitch and bend.

Kevin's body convulsed. His limbs stretched like rubber bands, his head swelled and shrank, and bright green sparks danced across his skin. He felt like every cell in his body was being rewritten by pure Toon Force.

"Hold on, pal! Almost there!" Roger shouted, his own body stretching comically from the effort.

Then, with a massive BOOOOM! of colorful energy that shook the entire backyard, the chaos reached its peak.

Kevin's eyes snapped open. A surge of power exploded outward, creating a brief dome of swirling cartoon energy that made the sky ripple like water. When it faded, everything returned to normal, except Kevin felt fundamentally different.

He sat up slowly, breathing hard. The System notification appeared in front of him:

[Toon Force: UNLOCKED – Stage 1: Spark]

Roger fell back on the grass, exhausted but grinning. "Whew! That was a big one! How do you feel?"

Kevin flexed his hand. He stretched his arm across the entire backyard like a rubber band and snapped it back.

"I feel… incredible," he said, his voice echoing with new vibrancy.

Roger laughed and helped him up. "That's Stage 1 The Spark!"

For the next few hours, Roger guided him through basic exercises in the spacious backyard.

"Try stretching both arms," Roger instructed.

Kevin focused and extended both arms like rubber hoses, wrapping them around a nearby tree trunk before pulling himself forward at high speed and crashing face-first into the grass with a SPLAT!

Roger winced. "Okay… we'll work on control."

There were plenty of funny failures. At one point Kevin stretched his leg too far and tripped himself, launching into a spinning cartoon spin before landing in a bush.

Another time he tried to slightly shapeshift his hand into a bigger fist and accidentally made it balloon comically large, causing him to lose balance.

Despite the mishaps, Kevin was improving quickly. By the end of the session, he could reliably stretch his limbs up to thirty feet, slightly change the shape of his hands or feet, and even survive a dramatic fall from the roof of Roger's garden shed without any injury though he still felt the impact.

Roger patted him on the back, grinning widely. "Not bad for your first day! You've officially entered Stage 1. Keep practicing and you'll reach Stage 2 in no time, that's when you can start doing more complex shapeshifting and create simple tools out in the air."

Kevin now had real access to Toon Force, and the possibilities seemed endless.

As they walked back toward the house, Roger patted him on the back. "Great first session! Same time this weekend?"

Kevin nodded. "Wouldn't miss it."

He left Roger's house feeling stronger and more in control than ever. The drive back to Springfield Inn gave him time to reflect on everything that had happened.
