Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Plane Breaks Through the Atmosphere - Something Weak Explodes

Somewhere in the world, a cell was falling from the atmosphere towards the city of Tokonosu in Japan.

"Hey! Even if Xenovia is an extraterrestrial life form, it doesn't necessarily have to fall from the sky to Earth! And at least it's higher up, why do I have to, with just a tiny cell, break through the atmosphere?! ...Hot, hot, hot!"

The protagonist's will within the cell was constantly complaining to the core of the God, constantly transferring and creating new cells, only to have them instantly melted by the high temperature.

"Because it was a random transmigration..." The God's voice was also somewhat weak.

"Random my ass! If it weren't for the Xenovia cell, I would have suffocated to death first!" The protagonist slammed the table in his consciousness.

"...Ah! Transmigrated through the atmosphere!" The Supreme God suddenly spoke.

"And now he's changing the subject?" The protagonist began to realize what kind of intelligent Supreme God he was.

"Hurry up and find a host, a child is best, because their resistance is the weakest." The Supreme God reminded him.

"Understood."

Although Xenovia cells can grow into independent individuals, without a host, they cannot fully utilize their strength. Therefore, when the protagonist was falling from the sky above Tokonosu City, following the Supreme God's instructions, he transformed into a bird. Although his internal structure was completely empty, he did indeed fly, searching for a suitable target while simultaneously examining the mission in this world.

"Main Quest 1: Not Unlocked."

"Side Quest: None."

"What does 'not unlocked' mean?" The protagonist asked, confused.

"This is also a random穿越 (transmigration) process, because even the timing is random, so the 'event' of transmigrating to this world begins before it starts. It turns out that this is what's called allowing the transmigrator to borrow time. The main quest can only be unlocked when the 'event' begins." The Main God said somewhat proudly.

"How come you're becoming more and more human-like?" the protagonist asked suspiciously.

"Of course, because you've upgraded your core. Later, if you upgrade to a certain level, I'll also have a body." The Main God explained.

"Ah! Found a suitable target!"

"Hey! Don't change the subject!"

The protagonist found a target: a little boy with silver hair. He and his parents were involved in a car accident and were being taken to an ambulance.

The protagonist, having transformed from a small bird, reverts to cells invisible to the naked eye, which then descend upon the little boy's body and begin to invade him.

Originally, the boy's body would have recovered quickly under the Xenovia cell therapy, but to avoid being used as a guinea pig, the protagonist didn't immediately restore his body to its normal state, only ensuring he wouldn't die.

After the surgery, the boy's parents were found to be critically injured and beyond treatment. The protagonist felt a pang of emotion at the similarity to his own situation, but didn't dwell on it too much.

Shortly after his parents' death, the boy was also expelled from the hospital due to lack of money. Ultimately, having lost his will to live, he was replaced by the protagonist. The protagonist, who replaced the boy, was then adopted by an orphanage.

—— —— —— Ten years have passed —— —— ——

In a certain class at Fujimi Private Academy's second year, after the school bell rang, the 17-year-old protagonist was bored and listless, staring out the window.

Currently, the protagonist, based on his memories, has transformed his appearance into Sephiroth's, and even changed his registered name to Sephiroth Fantasy (Fantasy: Final Fantasy).

"Hey! You're spacing out again, aren't you thinking about your Busujima-senpai again?" Takagi Saya, with her pink twin ponytails, poked Sephiroth, who was sitting in front of him, and said.

"I say, Saya, are you jealous?" Sephiroth turned around helplessly to look at Takagi Saya.

"Who's jealous! I just can't stand seeing you, a guy whose intelligence isn't even as good as mine, spacing out all day." Takagi Saya said, turning her face away.

Sephiroth and Takagi Saya's interaction was also quite dramatic. Thanks to his vast knowledge base and the brain modifications he received from Xenovia, Sephiroth easily surpassed Takagi Saya in academics. Naturally, the self-proclaimed genius Takagi Saya sought out Sephiroth, boldly proposing a "Let's settle this with our grades!" contest before running away. The result, of course, was that Sephiroth completely overwhelmed her.

Sephiroth's habit of daydreaming, stemming from the boring high school curriculum, was often provoked by Takagi Saya, who occasionally teased him.

"You're wrong, actually I'm contemplating the great matter of changing the world's destiny," Sephiroth said, as if he had something to say.

"Yes, yes. Then you can take your time thinking about how to change the world," Takagi Saya waved her hand helplessly.

"Hmm. Children are easy to teach." Sephiroth nodded slightly in appreciation, then continued to daydream under Takagi Saya's watchful gaze.

Actually, Sephiroth wasn't entirely daydreaming, but rather communicating with the Supreme God through his mind.

"Haha, Sephiroth, Saya, have you heard? Another biting incident happened yesterday." Sitting opposite Igou Hisashi at Sephiroth, Takagi Saya turned slightly, speaking with a hint of concern. His girlfriend, Miyamoto Rei, who he had recently met, also walked over and sat down in the empty seat beside them.

"Reporting on the situation, Rei, is there any news from your uncle?" Takagi Saya looked at her father, police officer Miyamoto Rei.

"Dad said he also doesn't know what happened. The attacker seemed completely unaware of what was going on. The attacker was like a mentally ill person, completely unresponsive to reason, and had a violent tendency to attack." Miyamoto Rei shrugged.

"It seems like the recent attackers have all been in the same situation. Is there a connection?" Takagi Saya analyzed, secretly glancing at Sephiroth, who still looked bored.

"Illness, religion—these are the simplest reasons that can cause a group of people to exhibit completely similar behavior." Sephiroth continued to gaze out the window, and he couldn't deny that being assigned a seat near the window was quite a good thing.

"I told you, can't you just turn around?" Igou Hisashi looked helplessly at this classmate, at least one he could communicate with on equal terms.

"Look how boring you are. The campus scenery is what's worth appreciating... Hmm, Saeko's black outfit looks pretty good." Sephiroth's eyes lit up as he stared at Busujima Saeko's long, beautiful legs as she walked downstairs. When she sensed something and glared back at him, he retorted with a provocative glare.

"Hmph!" Takagi Saya, also near the window, followed Sephiroth's gaze and saw the two interacting, and couldn't help but let out a cold snort.

"Sigh!" Igou Hisashi sighed. He had already dared to say, "My dream is to have a harem." Such words left the classmate in despair.

Miyamoto Rei glanced at Sephiroth and Takagi Saya, then suddenly chuckled and leaned closer to the latter's ear, whispering softly, "Still no progress? Continuing like this won't yield any results."

"You... you... you... What nonsense are you talking about?" Takagi Saya's face flushed bright red, and she forcefully pushed Miyamoto Rei away.

"Hahaha!" Miyamoto Rei laughed and sat back down.

"I say, Rei, did your uncle mention anything about the person who was bitten?" After a brief "exchange" with Busujima Saeko, Sephiroth finally turned his head back.

"Um... No, because the injured were taken directly to the hospital. My dad and the others aren't doctors, they just did some paperwork and didn't bother them anymore." Miyamoto Rei thought for a moment before replying.

"What's going on?" Takagi Saya asked, feigning composure.

"Insufficient intelligence; without knowing the injured person's condition, we can't make any judgments." Sephiroth shrugged.

"Regardless, everyone should be careful in the near future." Igou Hisashi said seriously.

"That's right, Sephiroth, you should take Saya home!" Miyamoto Rei said with a giggle.

"You, you, you... What are you saying?!" Takagi Saya's blush, which she had just suppressed, reappeared on her face.

"It doesn't matter to me, as long as Saya can wait for me to finish my club activities." Sephiroth still had feelings for Takagi Saya, otherwise he wouldn't often tease her. It's just that compared to the even more charming Busujima Saeko, he was still a little lacking.

"Who wants you to take me?!" Takagi Saya turned away disdainfully, occasionally glancing at Sephiroth out of the corner of her eye.

"Miss Takagi Saya, the genius, would it be an honor to invite you to observe the Kendo club's activities?" Sephiroth suddenly spoke in a refined manner.

"Hmph... Since you sincerely invite me, it's not impossible. I'll go take a look." Takagi Saya said haughtily, crossing her arms.

"Hehe!" Seeing Takagi Saya's arrogant demeanor, Miyamoto Rei couldn't help but chuckle.

"Ding-ling-ling!" The school bell rang.
