The days no longer felt like they were moving toward something.
They just moved.
And Shen Yichen moved with them.
No resistance. No correction. No internal urgency trying to predict the next fracture.
Lu Han stood by the doorway for a long moment before speaking.
"You've stopped anticipating life altogether," he said quietly.
Shen Yichen didn't deny it.
"…I think I stopped needing to," he replied.
A pause.
"It doesn't feel like something is waiting to break anymore."
Silence.
Lin Yue looked at him softly.
"And what does it feel like instead?" she asked.
Shen Yichen thought for a moment.
"…Continuing," he said quietly.
A pause.
"Without interruption."
Silence.
That used to be impossible for him to imagine.
Now it was just how time felt.
Lu Han stepped forward slightly.
"You're no longer filtering reality through threat expectation," he said.
Shen Yichen nodded once.
"I don't think I do that anymore," he said quietly.
A pause.
"I just see things as they are."
Silence.
Lin Yue stepped slightly closer.
Shen Yichen noticed—but there was no reaction spike anymore.
No internal correction.
Just awareness.
She was here.
And she stayed.
Lin Yue spoke softly.
"You don't overthink me anymore," she said.
Shen Yichen shook his head once.
"…No," he said quietly.
A pause.
"I don't need to."
Silence.
Lu Han exhaled slowly.
"You've fully stabilized into secure perception," he said.
Shen Yichen looked at him.
"I don't think I experience it as security," he said quietly.
A pause.
"It just feels… normal now."
Silence.
Lin Yue tilted her head slightly.
"What do I feel like to you now?" she asked softly.
Shen Yichen looked at her for a long moment.
"…Constant," he said quietly.
A pause.
"And real."
Silence.
No distortion remained in how he saw her.
Only presence, steady and unbroken.
Lu Han stepped back slightly.
"You've fully completed your psychological transition," he said quietly.
Shen Yichen didn't respond immediately.
Then softly:
"I don't feel like I reached a destination," he said.
A pause.
"I feel like I stopped being afraid of existing."
Silence.
Lin Yue smiled faintly.
"And now?" she asked.
Shen Yichen looked at her.
"…Now I stay," he said quietly.
A pause.
"Not because I fear what happens if I don't."
Silence.
"But because I finally understand that staying doesn't require fear at all."
And in that final quiet—
nothing pulled him backward.
Nothing pushed him forward.
Just life, continuing gently…
without needing to be survived anymore.
