[Ruric town]
After staying at the Viscounts mansion for about 3 days and 3 nights, Shun then finished preparing for their journey farther south, as he bid his farewell at Viscount Zack and Millia who seemed reluctant to parry with Sephiria.
However knowing that there is an important reason why they were heading south, Millia then finally let go, as she bid her farewell at both of them one more time. Even though it's sad that she had to part ways with them, Sephiria is a noble and her family is also a noble who is close to Duke Alan and Duchess Cecile. So as long as she gave a random reason to visit the duchy, then she can always see Sephiria.
After their farewell, Shun and Sephiria went to the Viscounts city transport area a day rode the caravan heading to the frontier Ruric town.
Since the town itself is already inside the Viscounts territory which isn't that big compared to the Duke's territory, they soon reached Ruric town at dusk when adventurers were returning from their assignments and was about to exchange it at the guild.
Upon arriving at the town, Shun couldn't help but nostalgic at the scenery as he remembered the area where he first hunted monsters, get assaulted by rabbits, and cleaned trash in the town.
Back then without companion, the only people he could talk with was Yuumi. Now that he gained connections, he realized that he hadn't spent that much time with his summon ever since he went to the academy. In fact he currently only call them now when he is in combat or needing some advice. Aside from that he never interacted with them that much any longer.
In fact he felt like his summons would never blame him if he seldomly summon them. After all back then, all he has was his summons when fighting enemies. But ever since he got to the academy and met new people, his basic combat grew exponentially to the point that he became a monster in combat all alone without relying on his summons.
Back then his summons were stronger than him, but now only a couple of them could give him trouble. Of course in his terms those couple could still be a lot.
"Wow this place is nostalgic"
"Really? Well that might be so, after all you did say that this is where your first experience as an adventurer started right?"
"Indeed! And I guess the folks here never remembered me after being absent for quite a long time... its just my wishful thinking if they ever recognized me"
After saying that, Shun then first accomplished their lodging problem and rented a big room in an inn inside the town. Afterwards he then headed straight towards the guild and entered the building confidently.
Of course the moment he and Sephiria entered the building, all manners of laughter and chats got silenced as everyone glanced at the unfamiliar people entering the building.
All of them bore two types of gaze. Either they are wary of them, or they were judging their capabilities. Nevertheless in this profession, new faces are really concerning.
Upon seeing the whole building turn quiet, Shun couldn't help but feel nostalgic as this exact situation had also happened to him when he first registered as an adventurer. Now that he is back after a long time, he is now being treated the same.
However the only person who broke this tension. Was none other than Lana who was curious on why the whole building got quiet all of the sudden.
Out of curiosity, she then followed everyone's gaze towards the buildings entrance. The moment she did that, her eyes suddenly lit up, as she smiled and pushed through the crowd while waving at Shun happily.
"Shun! Is that you? Oh my gosh! Long time no see... I see that you've grown matured in your time in another territory!"
Seeing her Shun couldn't help but smile as just as he expected to see her in this place. The last time he saw her was during the academy's anniversary event and now that he was back, she was also here.
"Lana! Your as beautiful as always, do you know even though I know that you've grown considerably stronger, your past companions also grew stronger compared to back then"
Hearing her words Shun lit up, as he remembered Alex and Misha his old party members.
According to Lana after he left Alex and Misha joined other teams and showcased their capabilities in fighting tough monsters and stack achievements upon achievements in just few months.
With dragon blood inside Alex, he was practically unstoppable and indestructible to the point that minotaur attacks were nothing against his scales, as for Misha, she had grown as a mage and became a prodigy in magic.
In fact their achievements were so great that their names are now among the candidates for the selection of commoners that can enter one of the six academies of the kingdom once they reached proper age.
Due to their achievements, they were now low tier A-rank adventurers.
Upon seeing Lana happily chatting with Shun and Sephiria, some of the adventurers who were present back in the days then recognized Shun after careful scrutinization and begun sparking the crowd.
"Wait! Shun? As in that Shun? The one man army? The adventurer with unique title of Gamer? That Shun?"
"No way I thought he quit back then since we haven't seen him for a long time, never thought he would return here"
"Oh crap! It is Shun!"
After those sparks, more and more adventurers who recognized Shun then went towards him and asked for his situation and what happened to him.
Of course Shun told them everything, hie assignment at the Duke, going to the academy, the test, the rebellion in the neighboring kingdom beyond the sea, and his plan to return here.
Once they all heard that, they then asked who was the lady beside him, and in response to that Shun just gave them a knowing smile, causing everyone to catch on and reacted in surprise.
Never in their life would they expect to see one of the weird people in their guild to actually land himself a woman of such caliber. But as if that shock wasn't enough, Shun even revealed Sephiria's status as the Duke's daughter.
The moment the guys heard that, all of them panic in shock as they can't believe their hearing. If what Shun claim was true then Shun was next in line as the Duke of a territory by law.
All of them held their heads in shock as they cursed their luck for not landing such wonderful opportunities themselves.
Amidst the laughter and cozy atmosphere of the guild, Lana asked Shun.
"So Shun what did you come here for?"
"Well I am here to reinstate my license... I'll accept any adjustments and payment, just reinstate my license"
