Annie walked a few steps toward the bathroom, pressed her ear to the door to listen inside, and was startled, her pupils shrinking slightly. Just as she was about to respond, Summer Ford suddenly opened the door.
"What's wrong?" Her face, apart from being a bit pale, showed nothing unusual.
"Tanya called!" Annie gestured to her phone.
Summer Ford casually took the phone and turned to walk onto the balcony, "Tanya, what's up?"
"What were you doing in the bathroom?" Tanya's instinct told her something was up.
"I just came back from outside and took a hot bath," Summer Ford replied calmly.
Tanya paused, feeling something odd, but she couldn't detect any flaw in her words.
"Let's go out for dinner together!"
"No, Annie bought plenty. Enjoy yourself," Summer Ford politely declined and hung up the phone.
Her five fingers holding the phone tightened slightly. Standing on the balcony, her gaze drifted idly to the ground floor, and she seemed a bit lost in thought.
