The two of them sat facing each other having their meal when Ethan Laurent suddenly asked, "Do you want to see a doctor?"
The chopsticks in Summer Ford's hand trembled slightly.
Her reaction was very subtle, and Ethan Laurent didn't notice it.
"No need, I'm fine now." Calming her expression, she forced a smile and continued eating in silence.
After a few minutes, she finished dinner and went straight to the balcony.
It seemed she was deliberately creating distance between herself and Ethan Laurent; she didn't come in from the balcony the whole night until it was time to sleep.
Before going to bed, she entered the room intending to take her clothes to the bathroom when her waist was suddenly embraced from behind by Ethan Laurent.
"Let me take you!" He picked her up in his arms and headed to the bathroom.
Summer Ford's body tensed noticeably in his embrace, and she was entirely cold.
Ethan Laurent paused slightly, lowering his gaze to glance gently at her face.
