Chapter 5 - WELCOME

hi uAfter like a lifetime flight, we arrived at the Loveland Castle as they called this house that doesn't look like a castle but a haunted castle. The Loveland bought the historic castle just to be their home, how heartless. Ugh. This is not for me to decide, anyway, we did arrive as the sun was beginning to set. The castle looked golden in the setting sun, it was lit from top to bottom, not in any way scary as per Vivienne's laptop. Its beauty enthralled me.

We were greeted by the Loveland Family by the entrance, they had a formation by the door, and there were several people that waited for us too. The maids instantly went into a rigid bow upon our arrival. They stood one row to the right and one row to the left.

"We don't to that to the maids at home." Golden commented.

The siblings will serve as my personal assistants, since we didn't bring any because Mrs. Loveland instructed mom that too many people would upset the Loveland Bachelor but-not-so-very-bachelor and that he hates crowds. No one of the siblings complained. As long as we can see each other, nothing is too hard, and we never depended on our servants so we can live with ourselves just fine, even if it's pretending that they are my entourage and not my siblings.

"Hush" Vivienne instantly whispered. "Come out now Shanara. Lift yourselves up." The last sentence meant that it was time to open up our supernatural abilities. I was the only one left inside the car because they already went before me. For the grand entrance they said. Jeez.

Carlisle opened the car door and so our abilities, the invisible energy crackled to life, feeling like a warmth connecting each of us.

I slowly stepped out of the car and my eyes roamed the people by the door. I almost chocked as my eyes met with Nicholas. I could feel unnatural strength emanating from him it made me catch my breath. His eyes were unfathomable as I slowed time down around him. I felt what he felt and saw myself in his eyes.

A girl with pale skin, tall, long black hair, big brown eyes, pointed nose, full lips- Jeez I look so sexy in this black knee-length cleavage revealing dress. I smirked at what I saw and cut the time back to normal. I wavered at his stare and looked at his smiling mother instead.

"Mrs. Loveland," I received my supposed to be mother-in-law's hands in mine as I reached their side.

"Lady Vega, I want you to properly meet my family. You already know Mr. Loveland, and my son, Nicholas. Now here is his oldest brother, Riviere Loveland, my second eldest son, Clover Loveland, and my only daughter, Candace Loveland." she said, smiling happily.

The men curtsied as their mother pronounced their names but Candace went to hug me and I yelped.

"Woah! Nice to meet you too, young master Candace!" I exclaimed at the so cute, Candace. I hope we could be friends.

The family has the same unnatural power emanating from them, but Candace's feels faint, was this because she's a girl? But Mrs. Loveland feels strong just like the others, what does this mean? Could she be adopted?

They all have same features, unnaturally beautiful, tall, blonde colored-hairs, masculine features in the men and feminine in the women.

"All single? I don't see wives." Gavin commented.

"Don't interrupt-" Riviere sharply retorted in a low but deadly hiss.

My ears burned but before I could say or do something, Vivienne held Gavin by the hand quite hardly.

"I'm sorry Mr. and Mrs Loveland, we forgot to present ourselves. We are Shanara's siblings." Vivienne explained.

Mrs. Loveland gasped.

"But we didn't summon you" Mr. Loveland hissed the words.

"Not expecting us, eh?" Carlisle growled.

"We can leave and cancel everything at your word," Golden stepped forward.

"Woah? Stop it!" I chuckled. "I'm here to get married not to get dumped hahaha. Loosen up guys! It's just jet lag!" I falsely explained. Deep down I could feel the Loveland Family went on full alert their body energy dancing before my eyes, invisible to them.

"Let them stay, mother." Clover said calmly.

"I agree." Nicholas echoed. His voice was so cooled it chilled me to the bones. "Everybody loosen up and breath. Its going to be fine, mom."

A voice as cold as his has a potential to be a good singer. I shivered at my thoughts.

"But our family traditons-" Mrs. Loveland's brows met.

"They're already here. It would be unpleasant to send them away." Mr. Loveland sighed.

'What? Not really. It would be just fine for us if--' My thoughts were interrupted.

"Yey! New friends!" Candace yelled. Everyone chuckled. EXCEPT US. Not really.
