"Use your gifts..." were my mom's final words before leaving. She's going to arrange my entourage to the Loveland mansions and we're leaving tomorrow.
"Does use our gifts means that were gonna be opening our supernatural abilities again?" Golden asked.
"Seems like a warning to me." I commented.
The five of us has supernatural abilities, I for one can sense ghosts around me, but I can't completely see them, but I can see visions in a person face to face, it occurs like a deja vu but hasn't happened yet. Golden can see ghosts, talk to them too. Vivienne on the other hand can control the weather but she has limitations, the five of us does, too much use of energy could kill us. Carlisle could slow down time depending on how long, he usually lasts an hour before collapsing. While Gavin could read multiple minds of multiple people, not including the four of us.
We have our certain gifts, sometimes curse as we call them, we all met at the orphanage where our foster parents found us. Found me, to be precise, but at the raw age of five, we already understood what we had. We have extra ordinary gifts, looks, and minds, that's why we vowed to stay together wherever we go, to protect each other, until death. We made a pact to stay and protect each other for better or for worse. We promised that we would never marry so that we could escape from possible heartaches. We only settled for flings if you call it that, no real label in a relationship.
We had a financially stable foster parents who provided us with everything and they showered us with love. We told them about our "powers" that's why they protected us from the outside world, we went to private schools, the press hardly sees us except for the typical graduations, year end concerts, and other what nots that cannot escape the press. But mostly, we keep to ourselves and stay out of the public eye. Our powers also helped in our family business, making it know world wide and thus we were able to help multiple orphanages and many other projects.
We always help each other in time of troubles, but a trouble like this has never happened before, and marriage, yes we attended hundreds, but it feels completely foreign to us, and I can feel danger. After three hours of deliberation (geez) we came to a final agreement.
'We will use our gifts, but not to hurt the Lovelands, only to discover their secrets- if there are any, find plot holes so as to have a reason to cancel the damned wedding, and cut the Lovelands from the family business.' The siblings would be my entourage, for the Lovelands would allow only five people to arrive on their humble abode- family traditions- they said.
'The bride would spend her life together with her groom until the day before the marriage, because this is an arranged marriage, this would serve as their time of getting to know each other.' Who the hell does arranged marriages in this century?
Problem solved.
What could go wrong right?
We went to our own rooms to pack up, we packed up on our own, disregarding the help of the maids. We're not in a business trip anyway, we're on a mission. And we have certain things that we need for this mission to be successful. And we also need time to rest, so as to be refreshed before the battle. Ha!
Now that I think of it, I must have had a vision earlier...
