Rex stared at the aftermath.
He wasn't expecting anything—too focused on being able to truly manipulate the three layers to give a thought about how it would impact his black lightning. And thus, his mind was blank, and that made it all the better.
Seeing the hole in the massive pillar was a pleasant surprise.
"It's a smooth stab," Rex leaned in, taking a closer look. "How is it even possible?"
One thing that he knew about his black lightning was that its nature is chaotic and violent. Any lightning spell that he used would be offensively stronger, and that applies to defensive spells, which are designed to protect the caster.
Even a simple protective barrier would have sparks that would zap anything that came too close.
And yet, this hole was smooth and perfectly round.
No trace of the black lightning's chaotic nature.
