Death is peace.
Death is end to your misery.
Yearn death when you have nothing to live for.
Treading along the abandoned neighborhood, eyes filled with tears, her clothes saggy and dirty. The night, ghost quiet only her soft sobs.
It has to end.
No more pain.
No more suffering.
At her clear sight, She saw it, the place that grants her wish. The golden gate bridge She dragged herself through the alley her nails with dirt..
THe smell rotten rats and urine rose .
" No more pain. Let's end this, Adeena" she whispered to herself. In a split second, her back hit the wall.
Dust flew out of her way as she stumbled. Before she could realise what was happening, a sharp pain shot across her abdomen. She screamed , nothing but a muffle.
She looked up, meeting his eyes. They were bright green, gentle as ever. The eyes widened , "Why are you here?... You shouldn't be here". A familiriaty.
Adeena smiled. Atleast she got her death. This is the end. The happy ending. And she closed her eyes, smiling.
She squinted slowly . The lighy blinding . A golden chandelier. A white ceiling with golden patterns . This must be heaven . Adeena giggled .
"A girl? No wonder she died." A figure loomed over her. Cold blue eyes but mesmerizing.
His feathered hair, blue eyes, his cold demeanor. A grand knight perhaps .
What is a knight doing in heaven?
"atleast I have a heir. Let's end this, shall we little one?" he pulled his sword out.
Slang!
Her eyes squinted at the jewels that brimmed at the sunlight.
Why would he pull his sword out?
The sword plunged her little body. The pain was blinding.
This is not heaven!!!
The agony tearing her within. Blood spilled from her lips as the knight yanked the sword without mercy.
Death, here i come.
Few minutes passed by, the bleeding reduced, the pain slowly subsided until there was none. Adeena breathed heavily....
What is happening?!!
"This is ridiculous. Healing capabilities" He scoffed.
Her eyes brimmed with tears. She wailed.
Why? why am I alive?
The knight was taken aback. "why the heck are you crying? Aren't you a nuisance?" he shouted.
She cried harder.
The knight rubbed his forehead . He glanced at her . Was that sympathy or was she mistaken?
"are you hungry?" he whispered. Everything stopped. Her wailing stopped . She stared at him. "whew. Thats so fast. Let me help you with some milk."
Shuffling of servants. Hushed whispers,' did he just...for a girl?'. ' a girl?'
Soon she had a bottle filled with milk.
"Father, is this my sister?" A soft child voice ,warming you within.
A head peeked at her. Her hands tried to reach the cribble but couldn't.
"she is beautiful. Why didn't you kill her father? ". His eyes green unlike his father.
" i did. She healed . Watch her let me see the king"
Adeena was left with child.
"wow. You are so cute. Don't worry. I will protect you!" he squished her cheeks.
Adeena grumbled. "OH, we should name you right?" He said thoughtfully..
"Layla! That's it! Your hair and eyes are as dark as the night. That name would suit you." He chuckled. Kinder than his father.
"I am sorry you have to feel the pain just when you were born. A sister i never dreamed of.. I will protect you!" he smiled.
"Why are you so silent? Don't babies cry" He looked at her questioningly.
She shaked her head. "you can understand me?"
She nodded. His eyes shot with amazement.
"Wow that's amazing. You are strong and intelligent. I am a lucky person to have you as my sister. But my mother...." His voice cracked.
"I miss her. Atleast I have you" he smiled ,a sad one.
Adeena shivered at the thought what the world held for her.
Why would she be killed as soon as she was born?
Why would her mother die when she gave birth to her?
More importantly, why was she alive?
