"What's the matter??" Lina asked Matthew while holding her pillow closer to her face
"Well.... A friend told me about a job I could try my hands on today" Matt replied
Lina sat up straight seeing how serious he sounded. She held his hand and said
"You don't have to work you know, I, mom and Chris can take care of you with what we are ending at our various jobs"
"But I don't just want to sit around doing nothing while you, mom and Chris take care of me" Matt took in a deep breath and continue "I want to play a role in the family too why don't you want me to??"
Lina took in a deep breath and said "why don't we talk about this tomorrow when mom and Chris are around??"
"You know mom is not going to accept right???"
Matt said with a sad and worried expression
Lina bit on her thumbnail while thinking and she finally said "why don't you tell me about the nature of this job you're talking about maybe I might try to convince mom...."
Matt was super exicted and hug Lina saying
"Thank you so much Lin you're the best"
"Hey hey calm down bro I'm not promising you anything yet" Lina said while pushing him away
"Okay I know well it's just working at a garage and since I'm good with cars I want to do the job and the pay isn't bad either" Matt said in an excited voice
"Okay I'll talk to mom now get out of my room" Lina said leading him out of the room
"Don't disturb my beauty sleep Mr"
"I don't even see the beauty you're talking about" Matt murmured under his breath as he was pushed towards the door
"I heard that you monkey" Lina hit his head before slamming the door on him
'Finally some peace and calm' she said. She then went to bed took her phone and started reading her favorite webnovel then a message entered her phone from her bestie Ivy
"Hey sleeping already??"
"Nope anything the matter" she replied
"Well are you free tomorrow??"
"Yeah as from 11:00 am"
"So boring I meant in the evening "
Lina could feel the exasperation from Ivy's. She imagined Ivy facepalm herself as she sent the message she smile and replied
"Yeah sure where do you want us to go this time around??"
"Well my elder brother will be coming back from city X tomorrow and he wants to take us out"
Lina heart started beating fast her crush was finally coming back after 3 years of absence
"I'll be there just tell me the time and place" she replied very excited and all smiles
"Don't worry about that we'll pick you up tomorrow" Ivy replied with a winking and smiling emoji
Lina put her phone on the table beside her bed and roll all ocer her bed because she was very very super duper excited. She put her hand on her chest to calm herself down 'I have to sleep so I don't look ugly in front of Leonard tomorrow.
As she close her eyes she drifted back to when she met Leo when she was 8 years old. That was when she visited Ivy's home for the first time since her mom wasn't around she had to stay at Ivy's place because she refused to spend the weekend at her mom's sister place the woman was just too weird for her to handle even upto date.
When her mom dropped her at Ivy's place she saw a beautiful young boy standing at the top of the stairs looking down at them with stricking blue eyes and dark hairs he looked like a prince charming .
He walk to them, Lina left her mom's hand and ran up to him hug him and said "Prince charming I'll like to be your Cinderella"
Each time she thought about what she said back she would be totally embarrassed.
