'Aaaaah why did I even say that' Lina screamed in her head while hitting her head on the pillow. She drifted back into her thoughts and before she knew she was already off to her Dreamland.
The next morning Lina got and so she could finish with her chores early and prepare for her date with Leo.
(AN: I wasn't aware there was a date)
She quickly took her bath and rushed down to the living room she smelt something nice
"Mom what are you making for breakfast this morning??" Lina asked her mom's she gave her a kiss on her cheek
"Our foodie is up" her mother replied smiling "how was your night sweetie??"
"It was okay mom. Can I have....." Before Lina could finish what she was saying, the door bell rang.
"Who could be visiting us this early" Mrs Marshall asked
"I'll get the door" Matthew said from the parlour
Lina finally remembered David was to get the notes today that's when she checked her phone and saw that it was 9:30, 'why is he so early' Lina ask herself. Matthew walked into the kitchen and told her that she had a visitor waiting for her in the living room.
While Lina's brother went to get her, Dave was observing her home he didn't even why but it felt warm and welcoming. There was a big family photo surrounded by individual pictures of each family members.
When Lina walk out of the kitchen to meet Dave she saw the way he was focus looking at her pictures when she was still a baby. She cleared her throat to get his attention. She noticed Dave face brighten when he saw her and she wondered why, but whath he said next almost gave her a hear attack
"Hello pretty"
Chris who was coming down from the stairs froze in place
Matthew spat out his tea
"Did he just say 'hello pretty' huh??" Matthew was the one who commented
Chris almost jumped at him wondering where his met this playboy. He knew all of his sister friends and apart from brother Leo he could swear his sister wasn't close to any other male.
The atmosphere was very awkward, Mrs Marshall who was in the kitchen and who had no idea about what just happened came out just in time to clear up the awkward atmosphere
"Oh Lina is this your friend??" Mrs Marshall asked
"Good afternoon aunty my name is David Robinson but you can call me Dave" Dave said smiling
Mrs Marshall liked the young man immediately because he looked cute, and was like a little puppy when he smiled
"Welcome to our home" Mrs Marshall said "you are the first friend my daughter has brought apart from Leonard and Ivy" she continued
Dave smile when he heard that he was the only friend she had brought back him but when he heard the name of another male, his expression changed for a millisecond before going back to his smiling face, but long enough for Chris and Matthew to noticed his expression
"Are you my sister's boyfriend??" Matt asked making the atmosphere awkward again.
"What nonsense are you talking about??"
"He is just my classmate" Lina said while hitting Matt on the head. She then turn to her mom and said "mom he is here to get my notes since he wasn't there at the beginning of the year"
"Why don't you join us for breakfast if you aren't in a haste?" Mrs Marshall said with a lovely smile
'wow my future mother-in-law is so kind and beautiful, just like my cute little future wife' Dave thought with a smile on his face
"Sure if you don't mind"
Lina and her brother were shocked at his shamelessness. They all went to the dinning table to eat. After breakfast Lina went up to her room to get the books Dave needed while her mom and brothers cleared the table. Dave asked if he could help but Lina's mom immediately refused.
"What's up with this Davison guy??" Matt whispered to his brother with an annoyed expression.
