Sounds of music echoed from the grand hall of the palace. The venue was the absolute peak of noble underworld luxury. It was a huge hall with towering pillars of polished obsidian veined with pure gold. The ceiling was so high that it was covered in beautiful magic paintings showing scenes from the Great War.
Huge chandeliers made of pure silver and glowing red gems hung from above. They lit up the whole room in a rich, majestic crimson glow. The air itself smelled faintly of expensive magical incense. Everything from the silky red carpets to the gold-trimmed walls screamed wealth and power.
The floor was made of polished marble that perfectly reflected the majestic lights above, making the space feel endless. Towering arched windows lined the walls, covered in heavy, royal drapes that framed the dark underworld sky outside.
Every single detail of the massive venue was meticulously prepared, radiating an overwhelming aura of authority and grand tradition fit for the nobility.
And this venue is far bigger than a football field, now crowded with numerous devil nobles. In fact, the number of nobles that were gathered here is the highest number that the underworld has ever seen since the civil war was fought.
Every single clan head from the 72 Pillars, the leaders of the other noble houses, high-ranking military officials, and top-tier Ultimate-class devils were all present. Anyone who held a position of power in the underworld was crammed side-by-side in the massive space. They all wore their finest ceremonial robes, and the vast crowd filled the hall with low whispers.
On a massive raised platform to the side, a modern, world-class orchestra made up of hundreds of top musicians played with absolute perfection, just like the elite live bands found in ultra-luxury hotels.
And with elegant music, the atmosphere in the hall is a bit more relaxed and peaceful. Yet, behind that calm surface, the air felt heavy as those in the shadows began to make moves.
In one corner, nobles that belong to the Bael clan stood in their dark robes, giving short, polite nods to the elegant Gremory family while giving signals to those vassal families to follow their lead. Nearby, the Sitri and Agares families talked in quiet whispers. Every now and then, their eyes darted toward the empty, massive thrones at the front of the hall.
The smooth atmosphere was just a mask. It kept things polite, but everyone knew how dangerous underworld politics could be. A gathering this big—with every major clan head and top-tier warrior in one room—meant something massive was about to happen.
Suddenly, the orchestra changed tunes. The music grew loud and deep, booming through the giant pillars and making the marble floor vibrate.
The whispering stopped instantly. The entire crowd went dead silent. Thousands of eyes turned at the exact same time toward the giant entrance doors.
The heavy double doors began to swing open.
Right away, a wave of pure, crushing devil energy poured into the room. The pressure was so immense that the crimson chandeliers overhead flickered, and even some of the seasoned military officers had to brace themselves and stand straight. Those unruly nobles who had been quietly harboring their own schemes instantly stopped their petty actions, quickly lowering their heads while keeping their eyes glued to the entrance.
Despite all their wicked intentions, they didn't dare harbor a single rebellious thought now. This was the terrifying reality of facing the person who had completely conquered the entire underworld in less than a day.
The crisp, rhythmic sound of high heels clicked against the polished marble as Roxanne entered. She walked with effortless grace, her long dark dress dragging smoothly across the floor. The moment she stepped into the giant hall, the elite orchestra smoothly transitioned to a low, intense hum, and the massive venue plunged into a completely dead silence. Thousands of pairs of eyes tracked her every step as she glided up the stage, completely ignoring everyone and gracefully took her seat upon the obsidian throne. She rested her chin on her hand, looking down at the sea of nobles with a cold, amused smile.
Luciana stepped forward from the side of the stage. She carried a soft velvet cushion, walking with a straight, proud posture that made every noble look up. On the cushion sat a beautiful tiara made of dark gold. It had glowing, red crystals that pulsed with a heavy, demonic power.
This crown was created when Roxanne first took over the underworld. And this was stored in Roxanne's storage space, gathering dust for many years. But since today was her coronation ceremony, she decided to take this thing out.
Although Roxanne didn't take this crown seriously, that's only because it's her. This crown is the symbol of the underworld. So this crown is not just a simple crown; it has the power to fight back against any ultimate class being and could also repel a satan class being. And what's more, this crown can also call upon the underworld guardians.
Luciana stopped right next to the obsidian throne, looking serious and full of respect.
Right beside the throne were the current four Satans: Sirzechs, Serafall, Ajuka, and Falbium. Even though they are not tied anymore, Satan's tied-up image couldn't help but enter the noble's mind.
One could say that with that previous incident, Satan's prestige was dealt a huge blow. But even then, these guys were never known to have a useful reputation.
But despite what happened, these Satans were still the strongest fighters in the underworld, so these nobles could only keep their disdain to themselves.
Luciana slowly lifted the dark crown from the cushion, holding it high for everyone to see. The giant hall became completely silent. Not a single person dared to breathe as thousands of eyes stared at the glowing red crystals. Even the hidden greed in the hearts of the greedy nobles vanished, replaced by pure awe at the heavy, ancient power vibrating from the artifact.
With slow and steady movements, Luciana stepped closer to the throne. She carefully lowered the crown onto Roxanne's head. The moment the dark gold touched her hair, the coronation was officially complete.
Suddenly, the giant magic circles with the true Lucifer crest on the high ceiling lit up with a blinding flash. A massive beam of crimson light shot straight down from above, wrapping Roxanne in a beautiful but terrifying glow. The light was so bright it filled every single corner of the football-field-sized hall, reflecting off the polished marble floor and the obsidian pillars.
"The coronation is complete!" Luciana's voice boomed, amplified by the hall's magic so loudly that the stone walls shook. "Behold the true bloodline of Lord Lucifer! Long live Queen Roxanne!"
"Long live Queen Roxanne!" The first to take action were the Satans, as they knelt and shouted. In fact, after all that happened yesterday, they were no longer resistant to Roxanne ruling over them. After all, yesterday they knew that Roxanne's rule was inevitable. And besides, Roxanne also gave them some stuff that made them hard to refuse to cooperate with this act.
Then, the families of Bael, Gremory, Sitri, and Agares followed along with every single military officer and high-ranking devil. They all dropped to the ground instantly as they knelt towards Roxanne.
