"I can also do anything I want, but again, it's all meaningless." The white haired girl stroked her cheek in distraught. "To be honest, I don't really understand my true self. Why make an avatar here? Why give me emotions? Why give me individuality?"
She puffed her cheeks, pouting cutely. She is looking every bit like a little girl being coquetish with her lover to get something from him.
"...."
Hearing this, Adam trembled. Chills ran up his spine as the truth was casually uttered by 'HER'.
The Yog-Sothoth of GGZ is just a mere clone?!
Oh, the fact that she's a clone changes nothing for him? That's okay then!
"Moving on:" Yog-Sothoth continued lightly, almost absentmindedly. "Even if I use you to infiltrate other worlds, this will still be the case- it's all meaningless. I'm a reflection of my true form made specifically for 'Hoyoverse'. But even so, my authority works anywhere."
She idly swung her crossed leg, her fingers tapping against her cheek slowly and rhythmically.
"....."
Adam didn't interrupt as he listened to an Outer God's grievances.
He simply stood there, one hand resting at his side while the other hung loosely. His attention is 100% focused!
"Only you are the exception." Her purple eyes focused more clearly on him now. "Your existence, your decisions, and your influence….They are all not part of my knowledge. They're something entirely new, something I've never witnessed before!"
Yog-Sothoth leaned forward a bit on her throne, her chin still resting on her hand as she looked at him like he was her light.
"It's all so interesting!"
Her lips curved upward, brighter this time. Unparalleled excitement appearing on this Eldritch being.
"That's why I'll never hurt you, harm you, or limit you!" ite-haired
The w loli puffed her chest in pride even in her sitting position.
However, her words reminded Adam of a certain trolling meme song from his previous life.
"So go free! Do whatever you want! Let me witness the most ecstatic unknown that is unique to you!"
Pale face flushing in excitement, the abomination in human skin spread her hands in the air, as if hugging the sky(?).
'This girl is very quirky…As expected of an Outer God.'
Despite the situation, Adam lampooned in his mind. But he didn't feel annoyed. On the contrary, such an exaggerated act makes him feel more at ease.
-Fortunately, this time, his thought didn't transform into an information stream.
"Hehe, see?" Straightening up her body, she giggled in almost childish pride. "Compared to my other sisters, I'm such a good girl!"
The silver-haired boy's hands twitched at that, the urge to pat this girl's head and rub her cheeks arising uncontrollably within him-
"Yeah. You're truly lovable."
The reincarnator took a deep breath and nodded in agreement as he tried to calm down his restless and suspicious cravings
"You're so adorable that I just wish I had a dating system so that I could make you love me unconditionally."
Adam shook his head, sighing in disappointment.
…
If he had an Author-level, narrative-level Dating System, he'd now have a strong and cute Outer God as a lover. A 100% affection Yog who is devoted and will stand by him without caring for the 'unknown'. His presence would simply stave off her boredom.
-Then again, if the Chat Room wasn't his cheat, he doubts that he'd have the qualification to even meet her.
As for why he'd even want to meet Yog-Sothoth of all beings, and unnecessarily put himself in danger?
Well-
Who said Eldritch gods can't be cute? After seeing this Yog-chan, Adam will slap anyone who dares say otherwise!
Besides, it's unavoidable. If he wants to save GGZ Kiana, he'll need a very strong being's protection. Better be this overly curious and bored overpowered girl than anyone else.
After all, it's certain that, as long as he provides her entertainment- she won't harm him.
…
"Hm?" She tilted her head, humming "That could be arranged~"
And with that, the white-haired girl snapped her fingers.
The moment the sound of her fingers clicking together entered his ears, the sight before his eyes warped.
A game like overlay appeared in his vision, with pinkish romantic colors. And right in the center is a notification:
[Yog Sothoth's affection: ∞]
"...."
Adam's eyebrows twitched, not believing this for a second.
"This doesn't seem very reliable, Yog-chan."
Despite saying this, he now feels a bit better.
After all, a being of her level wouldn't bother playing him for so long and with such methods. This at least proves he's in her 'good graces'. So what he wants to do will have a higher chance of succeeding.
…Really, the actions of cute girls are more tolerable- even if that cute girl is an Eldritch God.
Strange, he has never met Elysia, so why is he like this?
[Adam's affection for Yog-Sothoth has increased]
The silver-haired boy froze, blue eyes widening.
"Not very reliable?" Chuckling, Yog touched her chin with her index finger. "You shouldn't doubt something that an Outer God made."
"....I guess so."
Adam fell silent, feeling very awkward.
"Still don't believe me?"
The Outer God masking as a cute girl pouted, aggrieved.
'What, you expect to believe that one of the strongest beings out there in Omniverse just fell in 'love' with me because I'm an 'unknown'?'
He truly believes so, and with such strong certainty- as it happens, this thought transformed into an information stream because of strong belief.
Once again, it drifted over to Yog.
"Love, liking, affection…Those don't hold any meaning for beings like me."
Looking down, she stroked the information stream in her palm that contained his thoughts
"However, these human terms best describe my attitude towards you. I'm very interested in you, and I want to protect you from my pesky sisters. I also want to stand by your side forever, so I can watch aaaalll the unknown you'll create!"
The white-haired girl grinned, her pupils dilating in excitement. With clasped hands, her body started trembling, her two stocking-clad legs rubbing against each other as if orgasming.
It seemed that even a being like her could get lost in fantasies….
"That's cool. Great going!" Without being disturbed by this sight in the least, Adam smiled, flashing her another thumbs up . "I certainly prefer that to being seen as a cute and interesting pet that needs to be taken care of."
…
A stalker is far better than the possible alternative- Adam acknowledges that.
And besides, an unbeatable and powerful cute girl is a harmless stalker. He won't lose out on anything; he'll just gain an extra spectator.
The only thing missing is trust- trust that she won't interfere and use her power to make things more 'interesting' for herself.
After all, he only doesn't mind a spectator. But he would hate to obtain a co-Author that retcons the story to make the protagonist's journey more difficult than it ever should have been.
…
After a few seconds, the white-haired girl's body stopped trembling. She calmed down, and she opened her mouth to continue speaking:
"The only thing that pleases me is the sight of humans exploring the unknown. Unfortunately, people like that have become fewer and fewer."
Yog-Sothoth leaned back again, returning to her earlier relaxed posture. One arm draped lazily over the side of the throne now, her fingers loosely hanging.
"And of course, ones that can explore the unknown that is unknown even to me are none."
Her purple eyes snapped to him. Head tilted, she watched for his reaction.
"And you're the only exception- you're full of unknowns." She winked playfully. "Thus, my 'love' for you is boundless!"
The silver-haired boy returned a blank stare.
It seems that Outer Gods can joke, too.
"Can you please change the word to 'like'?" Adam finally said with a sigh, shoulders slumping, "The favor and interest of a higher being towards a lower one can't be called 'love'."
"You don't like it?"
She blinked.
"... Never mind, please tell me that you love me more!"
Adam backtracked almost instantly, banging a fist against his chest with a serious expression.
…
..
.
After a while of casual back and forth, the throne that Yog-Sothoth sat upon expanded with her will.
She gestured for him to sit next to her, and Adam didn't refuse.
Now, they both sit upon the throne made of white marble. They are next to each other, and whether Yog did it on purpose or not, the throne expanded just enough for him to fit in.
Because of that, their shoulders are touching, and her leg clad in stockings is also touching his trouser leg.
Adam…isn't in the mood to have any 'devious' thoughts right now.
In front of them stands a purple orb, one of those that constantly orbit around the white-haired girl.
The purple had receded a bit, revealing a scene from another universe.
It is a familiar blond, green-eyed man- Otto (NTRed) Apocalypse, kneeling in a wasteland.
"This one is one of the most interesting humans," Yog-Sothoth exclaimed from the side. "In your world, he becomes a false god. And here….heh heh."
She chuckled, and the scene on the purple orb changed:
"In this particular universe, Kiana and Mei failed in defeating the Will of Ruin."
She narrated as the scene showed a vague, indescribable shadow of an abomination slowly devouring the earth. Nobody could resist it.
"And this human merged all of humanity into one, hoping to proactively contact and resist the 'honkai' with 'humanity'."
It showed countless points of light rising from every place of the planet, converging into one place and merging into one.
"Predictably, he will fail. He and humanity will last 16 days before being devoured."
The orb once again showed the scene of Otto Apocalypse kneeling in war-torn ruins, kneeling with his hands clasped as if praying. Currently, he's still 'resisting', however, Yog has long seen the scene of his failure and subsequent death.
"Lasting so long against a being specialized in assimilation is admirable."
She nodded, acknowledging that indeed, a mere humanity lasting 384 against the Will of Ruin is a feat worth admiration.
But regardless of anything, the Will of Ruin operates in universal time. For IT who waits for hundreds of thousands, and even millions of years, 16 days is nothing more than a short breath.
"I'm neutral regarding bad ends. However, I dislike boring ends." Gesturing towards the scene inside the orb, Yog sighed in utter disappointment."This is nothing but a slow death without any suspense- utterly meaningless."
Having said so, she casually flicked her finger without any change in expression. Instantly after, the purple orb shattered into countless shards that dissipated to nothingness, as if swallowed by this vast, indescribable space.
"The Will of Ruin will devour and assimilate this universe into itself, too. So, it's not too 'wrong' of me to end this universe prematurely, right~?"
Yog-Sothoth tilted her head, purple eyes gazing at him with a faint smirk that betrayed her smugness. She looks every bit like a girl showing off, hoping to get compliments with a 'praise me' expression.
Her behavior is completely out of sync with her actions. Because-
-A universe has been destroyed, just like that.
