Applin was hungry for the chance to take down the biggest threat, her fangs visible in that toothy grin, as she wound up her hammer to smack down on the Mummy's body, knocking off the Death Mask as a result. Once she got close, however, she'd watch as the paper began to sharpen and scatter, slashing across her body as a result, pushing her back into the cavern's walls. The paper began to mold into a set of armor for the Mummy, the wrappings around his arms extending down to become a blade for his cane, as he'd shift focus and tried to kill the Vampiress in one swing.
CHOMP!!
Right as he went for the neck, Applin would have her body drop due to the wounds, letting her mouth take the hit instead. It went through one side of her cheek, but the hasty bite made her catch the weapon before it went any further. Raised by such ire, Khonum would try to have the paper scatter again, hoping to slash her across her most vital parts, but even that wasn't working. It was already being drenched in blood, heavier as a result. Whatever magic he had was already exposed with its weakness, to carry the same properties of what it was, regardless of the new shape. A last ditch effort, she'd infer, as she'd spit out the blade and lunged to bite into his neck, being careful not to let her own biology infuse and empower the enemy further. Having to take a defense, Khonum would set up blades upon blades through such paper to block and prevent her from continuing such bites. "CAN SOMEONE PUT THIS CHILD DOWN!?" He'd scream, as he'd watch her set up her hammers, ready to bash it into his head.
BANG!!
Shot down by a dart, thankfully swatted to remove the gold, but was unfortunate enough to still be hit dead-on, tumbling across the shaky ground with it lodged in her neck. "THANK You."
"Don't mention it!" Axel's reply came and went as he'd watch Alice keep the pressure towards the Mummy, having to dodge much of those same lasers. Getting close, she'd attempt to reach out and aim for a punch, making the Mummy somewhat curious. Khonum would allow this, but would be even more baffled that she'd intentionally miss. It wasn't until he looked behind when he'd see Applin pass her hammer to her friend that he'd piece together what she intends to do. In response, he'd be quick to raise his cane up and create a crescent slash, aiming across her body, watching it split in two and having her blood scatter.
"Seriously? This is what the Seven Wonders are supposed to be? Six of them fell by our lowest ranks, and their little girl is a mere half of her former self? Surely that can't be enough..." Both a taunt, but also a proclamation. A prediction. Seeing her risk her life so hastily for a mere hammer cannot be the true answer, even if said hammer was effective in controlling the battlefield. He'd back himself away and tried to have two Medjed's pull over to blast down at the messy corpse, a test to see if she was truly dead. To his confirmation, she was hiding something. The body threw itself up high in the air, stitching visible from where she was cut down, a mouse-like tail being what's only visible. "As I thought. She was playing possum. Had I stayed there, she'd hit me with the hammer and would eventually leave Axel to his lonesome. The little Dormouse seems to be the source of those new stitches, too. She must've sewn her up like she was a living doll, but that doesn't seem right..."
"They're independent of one another, aren't they? She was the first few to die against Bathory..."
His blatant words spilling out would cause Alice to attack again, two figures coming from the shadows, one with a clock-like blade, the other with a hose, spraying down a green tea to both scald and blindside Khonum so the sword connects, slashing into his chest, sand dribbling down instead of such sanguine. He kept analyzing the girl, making her angrier by the minute. "There it was again! Now with the Rabbits! One was able to slip by and react faster than I can, nay, faster than anyone else could've in that moment. They're independent, too, aren't they? There's no sign of direct control she can have over them... unless-"
"If you're going to be a spoiled sport, at least ask first before doing it! I wouldn't agree to such ridiculous claims, anyway!" Huffed and puffed, Alice would try to trap Khonum into the world she was able to control over, but in doing so, Khonum revealed his own world. Both snared at one another, the two realms fighting in such bidding, before cracking under the pressure. The bandages that served as his face were removed during this clash, exposing the mummified face he has underneath it. Without such a Death Mask he had before, it felt near impossible to remember he once had a human face. "...So you also have it." Her whimsy dropped to a screeching halt as she understood her opponent.
"From one Book Magic Caster to another, I applaud you. Should've taken a more historical book, though, like the ones that judge the very dead by Anubis himself. Perhaps then, I'd be able to give some more praise."
"For a man who wants knowledge, you seemed pretty scared in trying to learn about mines. Paradoxical, isn't it? To chase after a past and dreading what lies before you?"
"The past is a wonderous thing, little brat. Even in its most horrifying moments, one can appreciate the fine craft it once held. Now speak up what I want to hear. I know what your Magic Style is, the Book that you're carrying as well. I want to hear the answer." Alice gave no such chance, as she'd grab the hammer and create the Mad Hatter, letting him toss an assortment of hats before picking up the weapon, hopping into one of them and aiming for a blind spot. "...Fine, I'll say it, instead. Your choice in Books is none other than Lewis Carrol's ramblings. From its birds to its flowers, a topsy turvy world that holds no rules for the sane."
"Ironic that Alice holds all of Wonderland in her fingertips, despite her wanting to escape... Isn't it?"
