Chapter 562 - Chapter 562: It's the End of the World, Part 6

BANG!!

Shot straight ahead, the fog cut through as it'd connect. Once again, it phases through, as Xibal would give out another roar to shake Calibren from underneath, swinging its arm in reflex. Deltoro watched as the imposing flames came down, the mighty hand of such Calamity brought before the Bull. She'd be quick to try and snag Famine's essence into herself, a breastplate of stone forged and capturing the Harbinger, before launching it and the Lemon Shot directly towards that very arm. Through her study, she was able to see and understand how it sours and puckers whatever was hit. Added on by the strength from Famine, she can make a solid estimate that it could potentially rival that of Xibal's. Her guess was made correct when she saw what Famine could do, corrupting the magma with its carbon before even making direct contact. Mingled with such magic, it was piercing through the lava-like body with no resistance, easily able to handle the extreme temperatures once it dug in. The souring would start to shrink down and pucker the limb, the warmth subsiding.

"IX."

KRACC!!

The stone broke apart as soon as it felt unable to connect. The shot fizzled away, as if stealing such a style would only make it weaker, miraculously cutting off such arms and leaving her vulnerable to the beast. Their theories were proven correct. She could recall how Harvard's Monster Magic didn't necessarily took it away, only forced him to be bound back into the Nuckelavee once he was not allowed to split himself. Such monsters are inherit with their abilities, and such abilities like Monster Magic aren't easily able to be picked up and taken out in comparison to Magic as a whole. The energy and the spell made from it are what makes that trap happen. Even after recognizing the end, Deltoro would not stay down proper. In the last moments, she'd toss the magic upwards, letting her half-made armor be spared from the inferno, as the last body began to melt away. "This... was... a good... experience." Her voice vanished away with the raging fire, as Taro took upon Deltoro's helm.

He'd watch as Bronx would try to go after Khonum next, assumingly attempting to finish his contract, allowing him to take aim towards the children, quickly flicking through his gauntlets to summon another dragon. Harvard would cast a spell and set up the two boxes, preparing another card to synergize with the sudden shift, a signal for the Sniper that his job was not finished. "Oi, oi! Don't be trying anything stupid now! You got any idea where you are, little Wyrm?" Taro taunted, expecting Harvard to attack first in such a push. The boy, however, didn't budge, only growing a smile as the boxes emerged.

Metal, Dark, Dark, Wood.

An aura of black emerged from the Gauntlet, aiming and blasting down the Draconic beast towards the Box. One sound emitted from it, as a flurry of bullets came. "Banana Shot..." Each hit towards the Dragon would cause it to curve, quickly creating an arc to break down such bones and force the Vritra to adapt to such a monster. As he attempted such, he didn't expect another to step in and slam a hammer directly at its throat, restraining its breath, letting it come tumbling down. Taro would be shocked as he'd see the small Vampire trying to punish the beast for even daring to exist in the same area she was in.

"Thanks for the energy, Dummy! My Darling's gonna enjoy drinking ALLLLL of it up!"

KRASHHH!!

Everyone was starting to feel some level of misfortune, as the beast hurled itself right into the walls, crashing and crushing in the child, the rubble quickly coming down and attempting to bury the two under it. Bronx would try to rush ahead and save her, but Taro was quick to grab him by the arm and pull him over, landing a heavy headbutt to stun the sniper, followed by two slashes at his chest, pushing him into a different wall, letting him recoil so he can aim for the neck and decapitate him. the Sniper was quick to parry the Vritra's attack when it came down, however, but it didn't shook off the pain he was forced to endure. Seeing Tsukiya and Zazel to save the child, Bronx took the mantle of being a diversion, a heavy swing with his barrel, watching the Vritra lean back to dodge the attack. Such a position was wide to let him aim a deep stab into the shoulder, following it with a knee to expose his face and aim for another attempt.

KRACC!!!!

As the hand tried to swing down, Bronx launches his own headbutt, fracturing his skull a bit in the process, but was successful in stunting the Vritra long enough to land a straight at his nose. Blood poured from both of their wounds as they kept at it, a point-blank shot with Cherry Bullets, overwhelming the Vritra. Such an attack was acting as a quick metabolism charge, allowing it to digest and devour any muscles or ligaments that weren't important in exchange for more energy to work with. While extremely useful on paper, the idea of being a Glass Cannon when the body was supposed to sustain through many hits was not a trade he was willing to consider, let alone enjoy when forced upon him. Taro would try to dodge as much as he can, but because they're point blank, the only way to truly take advantage is if it hits Harvard in that distance, letting him curve and hope one stray shot made it.

To his annoyance, it only impacts Xibal, but fortunately for him, Axel was already on the way, with Envy trailing behind in an effort to stop the Shadow Mages. "Well, at least we're going to get away with destroying this Kingdom. That much is certain! I'll need to call back my people in the case it breaches out and we retrea-" His words came to a halt as he'd see Bronx charge a shot up, a new color on the core visible: Blood red, with yellow accents as its ring. He recognized this color, and his eyes dilated once the Sniper from Hell says such words.

"Dragon... fruit...! SHOT!!!"
