Chapter 614 - Chapter 614: Omega Fusion

"Myyy Mother told me..."

"Someday I would buyyy..."

The final push. Everyone would hear the song play, a warning given light. Barklode looked over to Jesta, seeing his grin still be plastered on the mask, showing his knowledge regarding the Bunker. Amidst the chaos and begging, Applin would be hammering in sigil after sigil, taking advantage of the light being at the bottom previously to escape and speed across, even extending her hammer and letting the handle be loose, allowing it to be swung and strike at spots she cannot reach without confronting Dahak directly. For each rune, the song got louder and louder, echoing around the Bunker as a result, and to an extent, piercing through the Simulacrum.

The monsters riled themselves up as they tried to reach for the Scientist, but to no avail. Harvard's mind was cleared just as much, as he watched the two girls still mocking him, falling alongside in order to jeer. "Waaaah! Waaaah! Big baby can't handle being in the wrong against our Sun! What a joke!" Tsukiya insulted.

"Since when did brats like you get a chance to speak up? Learn your role with the adults, you little freak! At the Bottom!!" Aramasa spat.

"Nothing more than a waste of space. Should've been swallowed since you were at birth. Would've did the world a favor."

"Should've been aborted, more like! Swallowed meant people would still stomach him for existing in the same plane of reality as us!"

"Too true, bestie! Too true!" Their insults were sporadic, all out on both sides, yet Harvard couldn't find the sense to care. His mind was closed. The voices grew numb to him, as his own heartbeat was all he can hear. Silence. He watched the body of the scientist grow smaller and smaller as he went to the sky and watched his efforts unfold, seeing them take action at their own hands. As much as he tried to listen to them and see how they reacted, he couldn't. Not here. Not when his mind was just as cluttered, just as cleansed. A light began to shine within him, a card being played.

Never has he felt so calm.

"Lost, are we?" A voice spoke, a familiar one, as the Card Magician's energy was being siphoned to the light, as the inverted world paused, the monsters slowly being pulled in, already knowing what to do if they cannot reach him, their gaze towards the child, their beacon. "You don't have to worry about feeling anymore. You found it. Consider this your first taste of what you wish to seek, to see if you still feel willing to cast everything aside and become a true monster. Are you ready?" The voice asked.

Harvard instinctually nodded as he braced for the pain. "Always am." he'd reply, closing his eyes as he can feel the slit begin to split, an X shape embedded in his eyes, as the rest grow hollow. A spell was cast in his body, as the Simulacrum began to warp and bend.

Fusion.

Every Monster present began to be absorbed in, the clouds swirling and masking him away. As he'd feel each and every soul, he can hear their cries. Their screams. Their violence. The souls that were once human were freed, floating freely, as the husks of their bodies were converted to cards and taken in. Harvard's own monsters began to appear and swirl alongside. The clouds darken below, a storm approaching, the rainfall rising as if it was steam. Barklode's eyes widened as he'd try to change the setting, but no matter what he did, that storm remained. Jesta, meanwhile, basked in the rain, as he watched in awe of the shining star forming above. "I'll give you this, my friend... You'd make a wonderful storyteller." He'd compliment, as Lightning crackled across, wings formed in its silhouette, bat-like in shape. Barklode was getting to worn down to keep up the illusion, aiming for a last ditch effort in order to ensure his victory is a success, as well as to ward off whatever was outside.

"Galleyyy with good oars..."

"Sail to Distant Shores..."

"Stand up High in the prowww..."

"Noble Barque I steeeeer..."

"Settiiiiing course for the Haaaaven."

"Hew... Many... Foemen."

"Hew... Many... Foemen."

The chorus repeats itself as the hurricane formed, the silhouette descending quickly, blocking the sun away. The girls recoiled in fear, squealing and panicking as they got behind the Scientist, whilst Barklode attempted to pull the sun close, opening all shutters and exposing the light before Harvard's new form. It blew through the cloud's bodies like nothing, being closer than ever to the land, the grass scorched away, before he'd weaponize it and flashbang the entire land, rainbows formed from the refraction of the light in every drop of water present. He'd try to bring back those tambourines and trumpets, yet all he could hear was rainfall and lightning. He watched as the silhouette got closer and closer, bracing himself as he'd run towards the Sun and punched through, letting it extend as his own hand to smite down the blackened state.

And in that impact, even when it connected, it was caught. It was trailed across. It reached towards Barklode and punched through the Simulacrum, breaking his glasses and knocking the very hat he adorned away. The illusion broke, and the song kept repeating, with Applin and Dahak forced to flee as the Lab began to break down. "Insignificant INSECT! Feculent SCUM!! Absolute INGRATE!! You just ruined a lifetime's WORK, YOU BRA-" His words were venomous, staring back towards the child in defiance, working himself up to try and show he meant nothing, preparing the sun once more, now acting as his new weapon.

Those words caught themselves as he got a better glimpse of his face. His eyes looked dead, as if he never existed anymore. His face remained neutral, placid, already vacant with whatever emotion was had before. He silenced himself as he stared at that expression, unable to come up with words to express it better.

It looked as if Harvard was a husk. A corpse strung along and fighting for a mission rather than a purpose.
