"...Oh my god. Did I hurt you that much?" Barklode watched on as he saw the new state. Almost demonic, his hair split apart and flowing freely in a long river, his skin now rocky with markings and imprints of the many monsters he held and saved. His feet were blackened hooves, his legs and arms elongated, his wings flesh-like and molded into a cape to cover his body. He lost his formal attire in exchange for molten armor, styled in the form of a frock coat as it is embedded into his body. Such armor holds the images of every spell within his deck. Most striking of all, aside from his new eyes, was his newly given horns and tail. Short and rounded like a goats, while his tail was long and had barbs at its end.
The Cursed Child.
The 13th Child.
The Jersey Devil.
Even with such a state, his expression is neutral. Hollow, even. No soul was behind those blank eyes, as he'd reach out and let his arm morph into a monster, a wolf-like creature with chains that quickly snared and bit at his shoulder, nearly ripping off the arm that housed his barcode. The Scientist quickly snapped back to reality and pushed him back, before being met with chains and having it sink in, already imbued with a virus to make it like paper and disintegrate away. It was a clean tear, one in which made blood spill all over the steel floor. He'd grunt and took heavy breaths, not trying to show signs of pain or anger, as he'd back away closer and closer to the sun, already feeling its mutation. Even as Harvard closed the distance, he merely smiled as he gets tackled into and gets dragged up in the chamber which housed Project Helios. He watched as the child formed another monster on that same arm, one in which split in two, serpents that bit into the wound and another arm, injecting their respective venom.
He could feel his body lock up, watching as one was spreading a tar-like oceanic substance to clog his blood flow, while the other was a true toxin that began to eat away at his energy. His sweat came down profusely, yet he dares not to show it in his face. If anything, he was expressing anger at the girls beside him who were panicking and squealing, their noise being clutter compared to the torment he's feeling. The other arm shifts into yet another, one large enough to have its sucker punch hurl him straight to the sun, on the same size and material as Rhodes. He was starting to understand what became of Harvard, moreso when cuts across the chamber were made, openings with such seals, a passive summon to more appendages that each changed into another monster and attack on all sides. He'd try to reach his hand out and grab ahold of one, but their reaction was visceral when his pudgy palms made contact.
SHIKK!! SHIKK!!!
Slashed off, cut away and leaving him as merely a body and legs, yet even then, he didn't budge his reaction.
Jesta would be forced to watch on the wayside, unable to see this new change at its fullest, as he'd set up a new mask to prepare in case Harvard goes after him next, a plan already in motion to act as Judgement. Barklode, meanwhile, would feel his arms already being regrown and warped, his skin and body changing in size and anatomy, slowly turning him larger and orc-like. "I see... Your spells have become passive effects... and your monsters as your spells." He'd began, as a swarm of insects flooded in from the bodies of one of his monsters; Caramel. Such candy came in droves to his senses, surrounding and injecting him with more chemicals, decreasing his energy further, preventing him from taking advantage of whatever gifts the Sun may give him. Such insects also held seals to bind him away, locking him out from reaching his energy to his mind, body, and soul. Wisdom Seal, meanwhile, was implanted in Caramel to prevent its own ability from coming out directly in exchange for the power to strike at the sun without fear of melting it, the punch provided more than enough to send it down to the Card Magician, before breaking down into more insects and following ahead.
"His energy seems to have recovered significantly. No, it's as if it's infinite. With so many bodies swirling around him, no doubt he has a large pool to take in, one for each beast. I counted at least one hundred and fifty in this Bunker so far, but I haven't a clue how many beasts remained in his arsenal to give him this spike. That's not even mentioning how he was able to take it all in at once." He mumbled to himself as Harvard lands a direct dropkick at Barklode's stomach, pinning him into the sun, boiling him alive as it was set back and struck down again by Caramel when it reforms. Even with such heavy injuries and burns, he still spoke. "His body would most certainly be taxed if it was from there. Even if he were to open himself and fit every piece, some would still leak out and make it a mess..."
"Unless it was all stored in something beyond his body..."
"Was the Devil right? Is his soul..."
He paused himself as he'd see his legs being consumed alive by the insects, another spell sent, markings of an eye embedded in his head, as the effects quickly plagued and destroyed his consciousness. Even as he'd suffer, he'd still analyze, allowing the Sun to come down faster, watching as it expands, watching as his energy is fed into it in order to remain alive, becoming his very project if need be. "In all my years since studying such beasts, in all my experiments and surgeries... I never thought I'd see my results be from a random stranger. A child that had no reason to be here. Yet, he took it upon himself to give me such blueprints. To show me what those results would be before anything I would be capable of reaching. I should be mad... but I have to respect his dedication for being such a beast."
"I must see more of this..."
His body began to die out, yet his soul reached to Project Helios, an eye forged from the sun. The lab was breaking apart, as Harvard looked up, his expression still blank, the only light left in his eyes is the X shaped markings centered, dim at best. "To think a child would do this to himself. What gave him this motivation?" Barklode asked, as his mouth began to appear from the ball of light. Even after being taken so high, he wondered what compelled the child to go so low?
