"It feels wrong... doesn't it?"
For the next thirty minutes, it became a dance of the sun and sky. The lights shined and blasted down in columns, pillars of radiance, shooting down and scattering in different directions to strike into his body. As the Nuckelavee asked its question, Harvard's silence became his reply. His face remained blank as he weaved each and every light, his wings and body quickly turning into Rubix to break apart and dodge whatever felt like a direct hit. It didn't matter to him in what the Scientist wanted to say or do. All his mind could hear was the winds that picked up and the cells that shape around him. As he danced away in the sky, he was quick on launching every illusion he could muster on Barklode's new stellar state. His eyes bombarded with every imagery, layers upon layers of falsehoods, some that lag his vision, others that convert to his true desires, a few that changed colors and sounds altogether and make it a mess. One even became a living Kaleidoscope to mix it all and make it harder to see through. As he was rushed through, the Child's limbs split apart like webs, letting them take shape of silk and claws.
Snagging at the sun, burning his flesh, he'd swing the Sun around and lay waste to the Bunker, quickly melting off and creating holes upon holes in the area, all to ensure it'd collapse atop of him, while also providing means to escape for Applin. The Vampiress looked on and see such an opening, as well as watching Dahak finally catch up and having to punch his way through the oncoming rubble that was coming down. She knew her job here was done, though she wondered if she could do a little more for the sake of her friends. Regardless, she'll take this chance and ascend back with Solomon, seeing Strength floating up high on the sky, smashing her hammer down to act as a launchpad to get out. "Your body is constantly changing. Morphing. It's like a developing embryo... How much can you do?" Barklode asked, as soon as he'd see the illusions begin to fade the longer his celestial body took damage, trying to blast down a heat wave to push the Cursed Child back.
Yet, he still kept going.
Spells were thrown once more, chains upon chains that tethered to the weaker parts of the bunker, threatening to pull it up and let the burial come faster. In response, the living Sun would try to implant his Censors on the Bunker itself, letting it morph and hide in its veil that it was untouched, that there are still sounds left behind that acts as more victims under its imprisonment. To Barklode, he believed this was a shoe-in, since if the child was so caught up in wanting to save lives, he'd drop such acts and go out of his way to help them, letting himself escape in the process. However, he was only met with more tugs as the flooring and scattered halls once crossing through such doors began to snap. He noticed quickly that Jesta was already gone, already disappearing, just waiting outside of the Bunker's entrance. To his other side, he was able to see a shadow that took life, a beast hiding within and escaping all the same. He'd try to reach out and blast down a beam of light to hit and impair the shadow, but it was met back by a cacophony of demons, swarming like bats that began to cloud his vision and take the blow instead. He could feel his mind being plagued with such imp-like devils, forced to shift focus and see what beast Harvard has unleashed.
His very ribcage was open, blooming like a flower, as each devil escaped out like a hive, a face imprinted in its center. Babylon, the Mother Harlot. "It feels off, no? To be a Monster, proper? How many of us rest with you?" The Nuckelavee's voice came and went once more, acting like a second wind to his mind whenever he needs a new direction. Harvard remained cold, though he does respond internally, a voice that feels detached from himself.
"I don't like this. This doesn't feel like me."
"And yet, you still take upon the mantle. I warned you that this would not be something for the faint of heart."
"I know..."
"And yet, you still dislike it."
"I know..."
It was clear that his mind was set. The Nuckelavee buried itself well into the sea that acts as his new heart, his new soul, his new part. He could sense that the Child still desired this state. Even when 'dead', he fights on as its immortal soldier. "I'd say I take pity on you... if it weren't for the fact you are aware of the consequences. To have a child go to such lengths, just to kill a Demon..."
"It's one I'm willing to take. It's why I sought out this style, really. I knew something like this would come up, where someone would want to avoid being hurt. By taking their place and being dealt the same pain, others won't be as affected. Others would be able to act against those that wronged them. All the while I make sure to carry their consequences further. I don't like this form, but I know it is essential. I did all my work on this, I just simply wished I could smile at what I achieved."
"...Even now, you still wish to be selfless. A selfish child you are, carrying everyone's burden for the sake of your heroism. A noble heart, with a greedy mind. Would you like to have some rest after all of this is said and done?"
"...I would like that." The souls between one another converged and blessed one another, as Harvard would let the imp-like demons merge and become the Nuckelavee itself, bringing back its full form, watching in apathy as Barklode struggled before the Devil of the Sea, watching the earth crack and give way much the same. Another burial, another kingdom ready to be in ruins. Another attempt of Godhood squandered by human heart.
