The morning sun filtered through the tall windows of Class Π as students filed in with a mixture of excitement and nervous energy. Today was different from yesterday's theoretical lectures—today marked our first practical assessment.

I'd known this was coming, of course. In the original novel, this was one of the early chapters designed to establish the power hierarchy among the first-year students and give Alex his first opportunity to shine as the protagonist.
A low-level dungeon populated by Murcklings—weak monsters that even F-rank hunters could handle with proper preparation. It was designed to be safe, controlled, a teaching tool rather than a genuine threat.
But I also knew something else. Something the academy staff didn't.
