Frieren continued examining the Gauntlet of Darkness while rearranging the instruments scattered across the table. The researcher's focused expression contrasted with Strax's, who seemed increasingly regretful about absorbing that absurd amount of divine energy.
"There's one thing we haven't tried yet," Frieren remarked, examining the golden inscriptions.
Strax raised an eyebrow.
"What?" he asked, moving his fingers.
"Asking for help."
Strax remained motionless for several seconds.
"Are you suggesting we call in reinforcements to remove a glove?"
"I'm suggesting you stop calling it a glove. That thing is connected to your muscles, nerves, and mana channels," Frieren replied, crossing her arms.
Strax looked at his arm.
"Still looks like a glove."
Frieren closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and picked up a communication crystal.
An hour later, the laboratory was completely packed.
