Chapter 4603: Why Are You Here?
Emerging from the space time tunnel, Lin Moyu felt a completely different aura.
This was another world here, all the rules of the chaos and ancient Wilds had receded, not a trace remained.
His Undying Dao was suppressed, its power less than half its normal amount.
All other Daos completely vanished. The little tree, Chaos Child, and the little roc became powerless less than a thousandth of their strength remained.
Only his own body and soul were unaffected, still as strong as ever.
Space twisted behind him, and Lin Moyu, without even looking back, formed a fist with his will and struck out, crushing a strange monster behind him to dust.
This monster was about five meters long, not large but definitely strong.
Lin Moyu estimated that even a master of the advanced Chaos Realm if suppressed here could easily be killed by such a creature.
This was the remnant of a world, where the Dao was shattered, powers chaotic, and only those with strength in body and soul remained unaffected.
"What's this?"
After the beast died, Lin Moyu noticed a speck of dust among the remains.
It was well hidden but he still found it.
He picked up the dust, wiped away the blood, and revealed its true nature:
It was crystal clear and half transparent, glimmering mesmerizingly.
From within, Lin Moyu sensed primordial qi very faint and murky, but genuine primordial qi.
The Primal Chaos Stone exclaimed, "So this is a resource remnant! No wonder."
Lin Moyu asked, "What's a resource remnant?"
The Stone replied, "There are many types of world remnants by danger, you have obvious and hidden kinds. The one you visited last was hidden, but this is obvious danger."
Obvious dangers are easier to handle since you can see and touch them, compared to the subtle kind.
He explained further: "By species, there are barren and resource remnants. Barren remnants come in normal or extreme; the last you entered was a normal barren remnant."
"Barren remnants have nothing, and the core itself may be almost destroyed in the extreme version. If unlucky, the moment a team enters, the remnant collapses and everyone dies."
"The ordinary barren remnant at least has a world core, which usually contains primordial qi. This is the most common."
"But if you're lucky, you find a resource type remnant, filled with monsters created when the world turned to ruin. Kill them and you get primordial crystals like the one you're holding."
"To a Supreme, this kind of remnant is incredibly valuable."
Lin Moyu gazed at the crystal: "The qi inside is weak and muddy wouldn't you need to slay a million monsters for a single strand? What's the point?"
The Stone chuckled, "Every bit counts! Even a mosquito is meat. You have endless primordial qi, so you don't value it. But Supreme beings' worlds stopped producing primordial qi eons ago, so it's precious not just for cultivation and trade."
"Riches make poverty invisible; when Supremes became Dao masters, their worlds had already evolved and all primordial qi was gone. The tiny leftovers are precious each strand is a treasure.
Supremes go to any length to acquire primordial qi, and the best place is world remnants like this.
Resource remains are treasure grounds for Supremes."
"Purple Star Sovereign isn't a Supreme, so primordial qi means even more to him. That's why he exhausted every method to explore here."
"Besides cultivation and trade, primordial qi must have another use for Supremes, right?" Lin Moyu asked.

It's a double edged sword; though Supremes seem eternal, they're also shackled by their worlds.
If they wish to live forever, they must constantly extend their world's life.
Thus, searching remnants and hunting primordial qi is every Supreme's quest…
"Will I need to do the same someday?" Lin Moyu wondered.
The Stone shook its head, "No you'll surpass worlds and step into the Life Restricted Zone physically."
Lin Moyu laughed, "You sound confident."
The Stone replied firmly, "I've seen countless people none as unique as you. You're certain to succeed."
Lin Moyu said no more; while talking, he had already locked onto Ning Yiyi and the others.
Though not in the chaos or Wilds, and his senses blunted, his spiritual strength was enough to track them afar.
Body power surged as Lin Moyu shot forward, ripples trailing in his wake.
He accelerated faster and faster no world could impede his physical strength.
Soon, he spotted a massive lotus, over a kilometer in diameter, with thirty six petals surrounding the core.
Violet starlight sparkled on the lotus, forming a star map.
The starlight illuminated the surroundings, arranging itself into a battle formation.
"This battle formation... isn't from chaos or Wilds," Lin Moyu realized.
Its basis and rules were different, belonging entirely to this world and thus fully functional here.
He remembered Purple Star Dao once said she wanted Ning Yiyi and her group to master a formation apparently this one.
The Stone commented, "The lotus treasure must be native to this world. Looks like this resource remnant left behind some nice things."
Lin Moyu narrowed his eyes. In an instant, the distant lotus magnified before him he saw what was inside, millions of miles away.
"Yiyi…"
Ning Yiyi and the others were seated atop the lotus core, all eight present and seemingly unharmed, which calmed Lin Moyu.
In the next moment, though, he sensed something wrong they were injured!
Though they appeared fine, he detected unstable and slightly weak aura in each eight people, all lightly wounded.
He flew toward the lotus, crossing millions of miles in a blink, landing atop it.
The battle formation instantly activated, countless swords aiming at Lin Moyu.
"Why are you here!"
A surprised voice rang out as a figure appeared before Lin Moyu.
