Chapter 80: Fuck Fates!

The next day*

I dig into my left ear with my pinky finger as I enter Momoyo's bedroom, with a fuming Momoyo following right behind me. The moment we're both inside, she slams the door shut hard enough to shatter it, cracking part of the surrounding walls as the impact echoes through the room.

"Chikao!" Momoyo called out my name, not caring in the slightest about the destroyed door or the broken section of the wall. "Let's leave! Forget school—I don't need some silly high school diploma to live my life!"

Momoyo strode over to her closet and quickly stripped out of her clothes, tossing them aside without hesitation before changing into a modernized kimono outfit. She put on a black kimono-style top with short sleeves, layered with deep red accents along the inner lining and trim. The neckline sat slightly open in a V-shape. Around her waist was a wide obi belt in a warm orange-gold tone, tied neatly and adorned with a decorative floral ornament at one side. Draped over her shoulders was a long, flowing haori-like coat, left open and hanging behind her. Its inner lining was a vivid red that sharply contrasted with the darker outer fabric, which was decorated with intricate floral patterns in pink, purple, and white, resembling cherry blossoms. Instead of a traditional skirt, she wore a high-slit black garment that revealed nearly her entire right leg, with black stockings underneath. On her feet were sleek sandals resembling geta or zori, reimagined with a modern black design and red accents.

"Don't worry, Chikao. I've been saving my allowance for years, so we won't have to worry about money in this lifetime of ours. Even spending millions wouldn't affect us much." Momoyo said proudly as she held a black debit card between her fingers, having pulled it from somewhere inside the closet. "We won't need to rely on grandfather for our expenses. If he really wants to help Xanxus that badly, he can ask someone else or just do it himself. I'm not going to let him place the blame on us for putting Xanxus in a bad mood the entire night just because of the way we acted around each other. If he's that jealous of our relationship, he can go find someone to date."

"Uh, so I shouldn't go help Xanxus in his Cloud Ring Battle?" I asked, looking Momoyo up and down. "Nice outfit. Also, would your grandfather even let us leave? After all, aren't you the heiress of the Kawakami Family?"

"Yeah, don't help him. And thank you. I had it made while you were gone for days." Momoyo said, glancing down at her outfit with clear pride. "I wanted to show it off to you on our next trip, wandering wherever our luck… your luck takes us." She paused. "Also, yes, I'm still the heiress of the Kawakami Family, and that won't change at all. Grandfather is stubborn and can be very moody, with random bursts of emotion…" Momoyo's expression shifted into a thoughtful look. "Actually, he really is getting up there in age, now that I think about it." She shook her head, dismissing the thought almost immediately. "We're still leaving, and I don't want to deal with grandfather anytime soon—not for the next few days. Xanxus is on his own. We don't owe him anything."

"Hm… I should speak with Sakamoto and Rion. After all, I've disappeared on them too many times now. Plus, I bet they're getting tired of taking on missions from the Order."

I considered my next words carefully when I saw the frown forming on Momoyo's face.

"Hey, we could form our own little group with those two. Although Sakamoto might not join because of his love interest. Rion would probably just go with the flow, though—who knows? She's technically a Seer in a way, considering how she can see the paths that lead to her killing her targets."

Momoyo stayed silent for a moment, her frown lingering as she thought it over. Then, after a slow breath, she gave a small nod.

"By the way, lend me that card of yours real quick, Momoyo." I said to my girlfriend as an idea popped into my head, my gaze lingering on the debit card in her hand.

"Here you go." Momoyo didn't even think twice before handing it over, placing the black debit card into my hand with complete trust. "What are you planning on buying?"

"Not buying anything. I'm going to perform a ritual on your card to see if it's possible to gain near-infinite funds." I answered before quickly moving to the corner of the bedroom—the one farthest from the shattered door and broken wall, where no one could easily peer in. Once there, I began by creating the wall of Spirituality to get things started, setting up the first layer of the ritual with a focused expression.

30 minutes later*

"Here you go." I handed the debit card back to Momoyo, who took it and looked at it curiously. "This card should make it so that whenever it's used, it creates a Loophole in the system. Any money taken from your card will cause a glitch that makes it seem like the money hasn't been removed from your account, even though the payment still goes through on their end. As a result, your account balance should remain exactly as it is. Of course, if someone tries to look too deeply into why your balance hasn't gone down after so many purchases… Well, I made sure to trigger an Error for anyone investigating it. A random virus should appear on their monitor the moment they try."

I grinned at the end, clearly pleased with myself.

"Let's go on a spending spree!" Momoyo grabbed my hand and literally dragged me out of her bedroom. "We're going to show the world who we are!"

Momoyo was so excited that she didn't notice the eyes watching us from the shadows as we left.

I even spotted Tesshin—the same old man who had yelled at us earlier—giving me a big thumbs-up and a wink. It was enough to show that his act of pissing Momoyo off had gone exactly as planned. His display of favoring Xanxus seemed to be nothing more than an act.

I seriously need to perform another set of Computational Divination later in Sefirah Castle as soon as possible. Something about this whole situation feels like there are far too many hidden layers moving behind the scenes.

Hours later*

"Huh…" I rubbed my chin as I received a deeper reading after using Blind Stupidity on the Fates again within Sefirah Castle. This time, I even went as far as using the Error's Uniqueness together with the Fool's Uniqueness, digging deeper into the endless futures to uncover the many hidden plans woven by the Fates and several other things that had been carefully buried beneath them.

"Fuck everything! Who the hell decided to mix an entire world of anime, manga, novels, and even video games into one single world?!"

I stood up, roaring at the top of my lungs, nearly tempted to flip the round table over in the process.

"All so this fucking world could be converted into someone's playground of wish fulfillment?! No wonder I'm being targeted by the Fates so much! I'm not even supposed to be in this stupid, overcomplicated world of absolute bullshit!"

My left hand suddenly clenched into a fist, forcing me to stop mid-rant as the Visionary's Uniqueness triggered one of my pre-programmed safeguards. The authority of Loss of Control activated instantly, preventing me from spiraling too far into the deep end before my anger could completely overtake my reason.

I took a deep breath, then slowly sat back down as I began reorganizing my thoughts. I needed to make new plans, since all my previous ones had been built around the idea of taking over the world.

"Nope. Not doing this again. I nearly went insane a few days ago." I stopped myself from thinking too deeply about the long term, cutting off that dangerous spiral of thoughts before it could drag me back in. Instead, I exited Sefirah Castle and returned to the hotel room I was sharing with Momoyo after we had left the Kawakami Temple.

I tore down the wall of Spirituality and let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing at my face before I began cleaning up the materials I had used for the ritual to enter Sefirah Castle.

"Any luck, Chikao?" Momoyo asked me from the bed, lying on her back and staring at me from the front edge of the mattress. From her point of view, everything in the room was upside down, including me as I finished cleaning up the ritual materials.

"We're leaving this bullshit world! If you don't mind leaving your family behind and tagging along with me, then I'm going to take us away to an entirely new life." I said with full determination.

I had already made a couple of plans on the spot, each one focused on getting us out of this reality and into another before the Fates could tighten their grip any further.

"What about your friends, Rion and Sakamoto?" Momoyo asked, not outright rejecting me. She rolled onto her side, kicking her feet lazily behind her as she stared at me.

"Let's just say those two won't be that affected by me leaving them behind." I said with a shrug, not wanting to reveal too much. "It'll be just you and me, traveling through all kinds of worlds. Also, my luck would be… hm… well, it won't be that insanely good at first. But later on, as I become stronger and deal with these curses, I'm sure I can make it so we become extremely lucky—to the point where nothing can stop us."

"I say we should just leave now while we're at it. There's no point in us sticking around when everything here is so boring." Alucard spoke up from the side, casually taking a sip of red wine. "Plus, do you honestly think there are many powerful opponents left for you to face in this world, Momoyo?" She glanced over the rim of her glass, smirking, as if she already knew the answer.

I suppressed the urge to list out the many deadly foes who could end all of us with barely any effort. The only things holding most of them back were the rules they had placed on themselves for various reasons—usually sheer boredom, arrogance, or something similarly ridiculous.

Honestly, other than wanting to leave this stupid, crazy world because it was being developed for the beloved Fates' chosen child to arrive and enjoy a life of wish fulfillment, there was another major reason: the Fates had already planned years ahead of schedule to make sure I would eventually hit a roadblock.

Worse, they had arranged the chess pieces across the board in advance, setting things up so there was a 90% chance of me dying once I reached that point.

Of course, those plans would always get messed up every time I entered one of the Sefirot. I took another deep breath, stopping that line of thought before it could continue any further. Thinking too much about it would only give the Fates an opening to exploit through the people around me instead of focusing directly on me, especially now that they could no longer detect me outside of a few key points in the future.

"Okay, let's go travel to other worlds!" Momoyo leaped off the bed, raising her right fist toward the sky with a bright smile full of fighting spirit.
