Chapter 708 - Chapter 707: Ten-Thousand Armament Golden Platform, The Duel Begins

Chapter 707: Ten-Thousand Armament Golden Platform, The Duel Begins

The destructive storm that had consumed heaven and earth slowly dissipated. The Wind Emperor's gaze immediately turned toward its epicenter.

There, the twisted space began to mend itself. Suddenly, a surge of thunderous energy burst forth—a pillar of lightning a thousand feet tall shooting straight through the clouds.

Within that pillar stood a colossal thunder giant, over a hundred meters tall, its body wreathed in fierce lightning that radiated pure annihilation.

The Wind Emperor's eyes widened slightly. The giant's face was identical to Mo Yu's—an enormous reflection of him in divine form.

Such a degree of fusion between man and Dharma Body was almost unheard of. Only individuals who had completely merged essence and body could reach this state. In the whole of the Great Thousand World, such mastery was exceedingly rare. Yet Mo Yu—who had only just arrived from a lower world—had already achieved it.

Atop the shoulder of the thunderous colossus sat Mo Yu himself, cross-legged in calm repose. Lightning danced along his skin, washing away the lingering traces of multicolored energy from the tribulation.

Though perfectly still, a surging power spread from his presence—an oppressive might only Earth Supremes could exude.

Buzz!

Mo Yu's eyes suddenly snapped open. Two beams of radiant electricity shot from his silver pupils, sharp enough to tear open the fabric of space itself.

The lightning faded a moment later. Mo Yu raised his gaze and felt something new—a deeper resonance with the world. He sensed that if he willed it, he could command the flow of universal energy at will.

He stretched out his hand, and instantly, divine energy gathered before him, condensing into a massive crystalline mountain a hundred feet tall.

That mountain gleamed with prismatic brilliance—solidified spiritual energy, unbreakably pure.

"The manifestation of heaven and earth…"

Mo Yu murmured softly. It was one of the hallmarks of the Earth Supreme Realm—the ability to materialize spiritual power directly from the world itself.

Such a feat symbolized absolute mastery over the energy of heaven and earth.

Mo Yu narrowed his eyes as he admired the spectacle. The boundless strength coursing through him was intoxicating.

No wonder only Earth Supremes could claim dominion over regions in this vast world—the difference between Ninth-Grade Supremes and Earth Supremes was like that between fireflies and the moon.

Clenching his fist, he shattered the mountain into motes of light. A faint smile crossed his lips.

"Finally, the Earth Supreme Realm… the Great Thousand World, prepare to meet your Thunder Emperor."

He had endured the Spirit Tribulation and stood firmly within this new realm—a genuine lower-tier Earth Supreme.

"Hehe, congratulations," said the Wind Emperor, appearing beside him. "With your current power, I doubt even higher-tier Earth Supremes could easily subdue you."

Each grade within the Supreme Realm marked an immense gap in power. Between Earth Supremes, the difference was often insurmountable. Yet when the Wind Emperor looked upon Mo Yu's godlike aura, even he felt pressured.

So this was the potential of one who had defied worlds to ascend here. Mo Yu truly was a monster among monsters.

"Oh? So be it," Mo Yu said with a quiet laugh, flexing his fingers.

In the Great Thousand World, the Heavenly Supremes reigned at the pyramid's peak—rarely appearing or concerning themselves with mortal affairs. Thus, Earth Supremes were the true sovereigns of territories across the realm.

With his strength and battle prowess surpassing his rank, Mo Yu now possessed the qualifications to establish his own sect and rule dominions under the heavens.

The Wind Emperor's expression shifted slightly. "You've been cultivating for a month within the Heavenly River Space—outside, about three days have passed. The duel between the Yuchang and Gongshu Families is about to begin."

"Oh? Already?" Mo Yu nodded.

He owed much to the Yuchang Family—the Heavenly River Space had been invaluable in his breakthrough. Beyond that, the clan could serve as the foundation for his influence in this world. For both gratitude and advantage, he would ensure their victory today.

Inside the main hall, Yuchang Jian frowned at the swirling portal before him. "Why hasn't he come out yet? Could something have gone wrong inside the Heavenly River Space?"

He gritted his teeth, preparing to enter himself—when the vortex trembled, and a tall figure stepped out calmly.

"Hehe, right on time?" Mo Yu asked, smiling faintly as he emerged.

Yuchang Jian straightened, relief quickly turning to unease. Somehow, the man before him felt utterly different—his presence so overwhelming it made him feel like a subject before an emperor.

"Is something wrong?" Mo Yu asked when he noticed Yuchang Jian's odd expression.

"Oh, no. How are your injuries, Mr. Mo Yu?" he asked quickly.

"Fully healed," Mo Yu said with a light grin, striding toward the courtyard. "Let's go. We shouldn't keep your patriarch waiting."

"Follow me," Yuchang Jian replied swiftly.

At the very heart of Xiongbing City stood the Ten-Thousand Armament Golden Platform. Spanning nearly ten thousand feet, the platform gleamed like molten gold beneath the sun—a magnificent structure built entirely by the Yuchang Family in their prime.

According to legend, it was once the Yuchang disciples' training ground, containing over ten thousand types of weaponry forged by the family's greatest artisans. Though it had fallen into disuse with the family's decline, today it was once more brimming with life—for the upcoming duel would determine the fate of two of the continent's greatest powers: the Yuchang Family and the Gongshu Family.

Rumor had it that the Gongshu Family's representative was none other than their patriarch, Gongshu Qiu, a man believed to have broken through to the Eighth-Grade Supreme Realm.

An Eighth-Grade Supreme—a powerhouse among powerhouses. Even throughout the vast Great Thousand World, such individuals could command entire sects or be honored guests of any major faction.

If Gongshu Qiu had indeed ascended to that realm—with the backing of the Blood God Clan—then his family's rise to dominance across the Ten-Thousand Armaments Continent seemed inevitable.

The Golden Platform teemed with spectators. Countless seats carved from stone overflowed with people, their collective murmurs blending into a roaring sea of voices. Even the leaders of the other top factions had sent representatives to witness this decisive battle.

If the Yuchang Family lost, they would cease to exist as an independent force.

High above the arena, ornate seats were reserved for distinguished guests—lords and heads of factions, most clad in the distinctive attire of the Gongshu Family, their chests emblazoned with its golden crest.

As time passed, the noise grew deafening, echoing across the entire city. The name of the event spread like wildfire: The Duel for Dominion.

Then, all at once, movement rippled through the crowd.

"They're here—the Yuchang Family has arrived!"

"It's finally happening. Gongshu Qiu vowed that if they could defeat him, he'd spare them for ten years."

"He says it like mercy, but everyone knows Gongshu Qiu sold his daughter to the Blood God Clan for resources. They say that's how he broke through to Eighth-Grade Supreme. Who could possibly stand against him now?"

"Hush! Keep your voice down. Mocking that deal is one thing in private, but if any of the Gongshu hear you, you'll die before sunset."

The whispers rippled as the Yuchang delegation ascended the Golden Platform, taking their place opposite their rivals.

"Haha, Patriarch Yuchang, you came after all. I almost thought you would forfeit today," a cold, mocking voice rang out from across the platform.

On the opposite side, stood the Gongshu Patriarch, Gongshu Qiu—an imposing old man with sharp, predatory eyes and the aura of barely restrained power.

Yuchang Yuan, calm as ever, replied evenly, "Patriarch Gongshu underestimates me. You offered us ten years' peace—how could I refuse such generosity?"

By his side, a soft voice whispered near Mo Yu's ear, delicately scented with jasmine. "That's him—Gongshu Qiu," said Yuchang Ran quietly.

As Mo Yu's companion during their journey, she now served near him at the family's request. Following her gaze, Mo Yu studied Gongshu Qiu briefly, nodding once.

Even were Gongshu Qiu truly an Eighth-Grade Supreme, Mo Yu doubted he could dent his defenses now. Only interference from the Blood God Clan would warrant concern.

The thought made Mo Yu's expression harden slightly. If those so-called divine clans dared interfere, he would not hesitate to strike back—no matter their standing.

Yuchang Ran caught sight of his faint smile—serene yet carrying an unshakable certainty. Her heart quickened. She remembered how she once thought him a powerless wanderer, unaware of his true brilliance.

She now knew better—ascendants from lower worlds were unparalleled prodigies, beings who defied the heavens themselves. Among countless billions, they were chosen few destined to change the Great Thousand World.

Her chest tightened as she looked upon him again, a mix of awe and regret softening her eyes.

Across the platform, Gongshu Qiu's voice resounded once more. "Enough talk. My time is precious. The Gongshu Family's champion is me. Now, Yuchang Family, choose your warrior."

A hush fell. All eyes turned toward Yuchang Yuan. Surely no one else in the family was capable of matching Gongshu Qiu.

But instead of stepping forward, Yuchang Yuan smiled—and raised his hand, pointing beside him.

"Your opponent," he said clearly, "is him."

Every gaze in the arena swung toward a silver-eyed youth, whose aura emanated calm, unfathomable depth.

A wave of murmurs rolled through the spectators.

Gongshu Qiu frowned slightly, sensing an unusual energy about the young man—but as soon as he saw Mo Yu's youthful face, his lip curled in disdain.

"So, has the Yuchang Family given up already?" he sneered. "You should at least pick someone who looks the part."

Mo Yu chuckled softly, his smile faint but cold as lightning flickered deep within his silver eyes.
