The ensuing battle held no suspense. After defeating the Unfezant, there were no flying Pokemon left in the sky. This meant most of the remaining moves would be long-range Special Attack types, which posed minimal threat to Lian.
His staggering 155 base Special Defense was not to be taken lightly. Even Kyogre, known for its remarkable Special Defense, had only a base stat of 140. With Primal Reversion, it barely surpassed Lian's Special Defense by just five points.
Kyogre's true strength lay in its accumulated power over countless years, making it formidable. However, when considering solely base stats, Kyogre fell short compared to Lian.
If strictly comparing base stats, Lian currently boasted a total of 854 points, an incredibly high number that no other Pokemon has surpassed yet.
Lian recalled from his previous life playing Pokemon games, there seemed to be a legendary Pokemon with over 1000 base stats, appearing in the eighth generation Sword and Shield series.
However, by then, he had grown tired of the Pokemon games as the designs of new Pokemon became increasingly unappealing, leading him to lose interest.
Lian wondered if such a Pokemon with over one thousand base stats existed in this world. However, upon reflection, it seemed unlikely; what kind of creature could possess such immense strength?
Even Kyogre's primal evolution had only 770 base stats, yet Lian had witnessed its formidable power, making it likely the strongest legendary Pokémon he had encountered so far.
If a legendary Pokémon indeed reached over one thousand base stats, Lian couldn't fathom how incredibly powerful it must be.
However, his knowledge was limited. Regardless, his current base stats were astonishingly high, leaving him slightly embarrassed—achieving these through the system felt too much like cheating.
The subsequent battles became straightforward for Lian, requiring minimal thought. Even enduring direct attacks posed no threat, as each opponent fell one by one under his fiery onslaught.
"We've lost."
As the three high-level Trainers watched their Pokemon being defeated, witnessing Charizard's invincible prowess, they quickly lost their fighting spirit.
Finally, Lian used Air Slash to defeat Altaria, saving Celebi just before it would have lost its ability to battle.
"We won."
Kalia's battle also came to a halt as Charizard emerged victorious, signifying the end since no other Pokemon could stand against it at this moment.
Lian gradually reverted to his original form, timing it perfectly, and approached Celebi.
"Thank you." Celebi responded weakly, severely injured and on the verge of unconsciousness, barely managing to stay aloft.
"Can you still leave on your own?" Lian observed Celebi's condition; without immediate treatment, it wouldn't be able to depart safely. Even if it managed to escape, being so vulnerable might lead to capture by others due to its weakened state.
"If you trust me, I'll take you for treatment," Lian offered. Building good relations with legendary Pokémon was essential, as he would rely on them to earn Combat Points in the future.
"Yes," Celebi agreed. After all, Charizard had saved it, and even if it left now, it couldn't enter the river of time. Remaining exposed in reality for too long, especially in its current fragile state, posed significant risks.
Lian and Celebi descended to the ground, where Kalia rushed over with a smile upon seeing Charizard and Celebi.
"Charizard, you're amazing! In a few days, I'll treat you to Totem City's supreme barbecue," Kalia said happily. Without Charizard's intervention, Celebi likely would have been captured—an outcome she desperately wanted to avoid.
Lian beamed at this news. Although Kalia could afford luxurious meals, he had grown tired of such gourmet Pokemon cuisine. The supreme barbecue in Totem City was renowned for its deliciousness, so now he eagerly anticipated a satisfying feast.
Following their encounter, Kalia departed with Celebi to seek treatment at the Pokémon Center. Celebi reciprocated Kalia's kindness, as she was the only Trainer who voluntarily came forward to rescue it—a gesture that did not go unnoticed by Celebi.
With the Flora Expo concluded, Noras lost all interest in staying any longer. His primary goal had been capturing Celebi, but failing to do so meant facing inevitable criticism, especially from Trainers.
Trainers generally held legendary Pokémon in high regard, even venerating some as divine beings.
Celebi is one of the most well-known legendary Pokémon, with numerous Celebi temples throughout the Sebas region.
Noras's actions infuriated many people, but as a prominent figure in the film industry, he wielded significant influence behind the scenes and swiftly managed to suppress public criticism.
However, aside from Noras's controversy, the highest attention remained on the battle footage featuring Charizard and the Mega Evolution video. Many were astonished, as the transformation of Charizard exceeded their understanding. While variations in Pokemon weights exist, drastic changes in form outside of evolution are rare.
Although some Pokemon can alter their appearance, Charizard, being a highly recognizable star Pokemon, has a deeply ingrained image in people's minds.
From hatching out of a Pokemon egg as a Charmander, evolving into Charmeleon, and finally becoming a Charizard, this represents the established evolutionary path for Charizards.
Throughout its life stages, a Charizard maintains its distinct appearance. Lian's Charizard was somewhat unique due to his significantly larger size compared to typical Charizards, but despite these differences in weight and physique, anyone could still recognize him as a Charizard.
However, in the video, the Charizard underwent a significant transformation: its wings enlarged with irregular extensions, and its tail elongated. Observant viewers even noticed emerging wing-like structures on the Charizard's arms.
This drastic change was unlike any ordinary Charizard; aside from certain shape-shifting Pokemon, such transformations typically indicated evolution.
Lian's Mega Evolution sent shockwaves throughout the Sebas region, sparking numerous inquiries about what exactly happened to the Charizard seen in the video.
Could Charizards truly undergo a third evolution? Or did they possess other potential forms? This question held immense importance.
While Charizards were powerful, many stronger species existed in reality. However, their striking appearance had inadvertently made them celebrity Pokemon. If Charizards could indeed evolve a third time, it would likely ignite a frenzy of capturing Charmanders across the Sebas region.
The fame of Charizards would skyrocket, becoming universally recognized. With hardly any Pokemon capable of achieving a third evolution, Charizards would stand out as exceptionally unique.
