A flicker of anticipation sparked within Shin. He'd never seen that before.

Or maybe it was something he could use to survive in the Dragon Ball world. After all, monsters like Majin Buu were leagues stronger than Cell. In a high-powered universe like this, improving his strength was no simple task. Although he now had the constitution of a Super Saiyan, the power wasn't truly his own, and he'd hit a plateau, unable to advance further.
Perhaps it was because he hadn't fully accepted his place in the Dragon Ball world. He still struggled to completely convert his Chakra into Ki, a process he could only fully manage by tapping into the powerful engine of his Super Saiyan state.
In any case, the immediate crisis was over. Cell was dead.
Trunks stared blankly at the scene, unable to comprehend what had just happened. Son Goku had mysteriously returned to life, only to die again, using a Super Saiyan 2 transformation to take Super Perfect Cell down with him in a final, sacrificial blaze.
It was utterly baffling. Apart from Shin, no one could possibly understand the why or the how of it all.
But for now, the world was safe. That much was certain.
Shin opened the System interface. He wasn't in a rush to claim the Super Saiyan 2 or Kamehameha rewards. Those were things he could eventually learn on his own, either by training or by studying under Goku. With enough effort, he could get there.
But this special, mysterious reward… he had to see what it was. He'd never encountered anything like it.

The System's announcement brought Shin's thoughts to a screeching halt.
'Reincarnators? Is this one of those infinite worlds? Am I just some wanderer caught in the loop?'
From his understanding of the concept, these Reincarnators usually operated in teams, moving from one world to another—be it a horror world, an anime world, or something else entirely—constantly honing their skills to become top-tier powerhouses.
In these infinite worlds, there was always a "Lord God" or some similar entity pulling the strings. They provided rewards to the Reincarnators, enabling them to survive in the endless cycle.
But his System… it really didn't feel like one of those. Its intelligence was pitifully low, not even a millionth of what a Lord God was said to possess. Besides, Lord Gods were supposed to be omnipotent. His System was just… weak. It could only copy abilities he had witnessed, and the conditions were frustratingly strict.
Take his current rewards, for example. If he had been willing to ask Goku to be his master, he could have learned those techniques in a few years. With their long lifespans now, he could have easily found the time. Why did he have to risk his life fighting Cell just to get them?
And Super Saiyan 2? Goku achieved it after a year of training. Even if he wasn't as gifted as Goku, he could probably have managed it in seven or eight years. What was the point of all this?
Shin harbored a deep resentment for his System. Its functions were weak, and its methods felt malicious. It looked useful on the surface, even enviable, but it had robbed him of any chance to live a peaceful life.
The Reincarnators in these infinite worlds couldn't live peacefully either, but at least they could exchange points for some quiet, leisurely time. They often had their own private spaces to enjoy life's simple pleasures between missions.
Shin had none of that. He was thrown from one battle to the next, from one world to another, fighting endlessly. He'd grown weary of this life a long time ago. But in a world where humanity faced annihilation, he had no choice but to force himself to carry the burden.
Now that the Dragon Ball crisis was resolved, with the next one at least a decade away, he thought he could finally enjoy some peace. But then the System had to drop this bomb on him—there were Reincarnators in this world, and he was expected to deal with them.
He was sick of fighting people like this. Reincarnators were notoriously powerful and, more often than not, unafraid of death. Shin had no desire to fight a bunch of lunatics.
The more he thought, the more chaotic his mind became. Thinking about these things was truly difficult for him.
If he were a native of the Naruto or Dragon Ball world, he might have stepped up to protect the peace of the universe, to maintain the stability of the timeline. He would have fought the Reincarnators, either killing them or being killed by them.
But for Shin, it was different.
He wanted to connect with them. He wanted to go back to his original world, or at least to the world of Naruto. Before, he had thought it was impossible. He didn't understand the System's power, how it transported him from one world to another.
But now, with Reincarnators in the picture…
The Lord God was said to be omniscient and omnipotent. Even his own System, which always seemed to have access to impossible information, could only provide a "fairly detailed" profile on them. That meant even his System couldn't get the upper hand on a Lord God.
A glimmer of hope appeared in his life. It was no longer the dark, silent, and hopeless existence it had been before.
