Angelica arrived at the castle a considerable time before dinner began. She was pleased with the carriage driver's punctuality.
Angelica walked back to Ian's quarters. She did not have a bad sense of direction. She could easily find her way from the main castle entrance. Angelica was certain that Ian would have returned to his bedroom by now.
She could not care less. Whether he was there or not, it would change nothing. As long as he did not start with his antics again.
Angelica opened the door to his bedroom. To her surprise, he was not there. She felt strange about it. Perhaps he planned to spend another night in a different room. If that was the case, that was fine with her.
Angelica sat on the bed, it was still as hard and uncomfortable as ever, however, she was starting to get used to it slightly.
