The scene starts where Hyejin enters Do Hwan's room and asks about Jaeahn.
"She fell asleep," Do Hwan replies.
But his mind keeps repeating the words from the unknown caller:
"Nippo… don't believe Hyejin."
Do Hwan thinks to himself,
I can't risk telling this to Jaeahn or Jongsuk. First I need to confirm who this person is… or if it's really… no. No. I need to confirm it myself.
He texts the unknown number and tells them to meet him at Gyeongun, near the Funeral Home.
But the unknown person doesn't reply.
Do Hwan doesn't want anyone else to get hurt, so he keeps everything to himself.
He goes to Jaeahn's room to check on her.
She's asleep, but crying.
Do Hwan thinks it's a nightmare, so he tries to wake her—but she cries harder.
Suddenly Do Hwan shouts:
"Wake up!"
But instead, Jaeahn hugs him tightly in her sleep and starts talking—
"Hyung… please don't leave me. I don't want to live like this… hyung, please… after you were gone everything changed… please let me die…"
Do Hwan gently pets her head.
"I'm here… don't worry."
After seeing her like this, Do Hwan cannot make himself leave.
Jaeahn clings to his hand, whispering, "Don't go, hyung…"
So he stays quietly beside her.

The next morning, Jongsuk gets discharged from the hospital.
The first thing he asks is,
"Is Jaeahn okay?"
Do Hwan tells him everything about the guy they caught at home.
Jongsuk looks lost.
Do Hwan notices, but before he can say more, he thinks:
No matter what happens, I don't want Jaeahn to know any of this.
On the way home, Do Hwan suddenly says:
"I have some important work. You two go ahead—I'll join you later."
Jaeahn doesn't question it. She only says, "Okay."

You're the only reason I'm still alive."
She stops the car in front of a supermarket and goes inside to buy something.
Jongsuk opens his eyes—he wasn't sleeping.
After hearing her words, he smiles softly.
"Thank you… for not leaving me."

Meanwhile, Do Hwan waits at the graveyard near the funeral home.
His phone rings—the unknown number.
"Turn left," the caller says.
Do Hwan turns…
and freezes.
His eyes widen.
His voice trembles.
"…so… it was you. I didn't want to believe it but… but…"
The camera reveals—
It's Jihu.
Jihu is alive.
Do Hwan almost cries and hugs Jihu tightly.

Back to Jaeahn:
She returns to the car and sees Jongsuk awake.
"What took you so long?" he asks.
"I was looking for some snacks… or books," she says.
"Are you feeling okay now? Your arm? Are you in pain?"
Jongsuk notices her panicking, so he gently calms her:
"Look at me. I'm okay now. I'm strong enough that if someone tries to hurt you again, I can protect you."
Jaeahn smiles.
Jongsuk thinks:
Your one smile is enough for me.

At home:
Jaeahn helps Jongsuk out of the car because he struggles to get down.
At that moment, Hyejin arrives to see Jongsuk.
Jaeahn looks at her and smiles mysteriously.
Inside her mind, she says:
"First I only suspected you.
Now I believe it.
My game starts here.
Do whatever you want… and then I'll do what I want.
I'm not the same person anymore.
You only see what I allow you to see."
Her plan begins.
