The scene starts right where the news appears.
Their expressions turn cold.
Do Hwan and Jongsuk stand still, frozen in shock. Their bodies don't move.
But at that moment…
Jaeahn suddenly starts laughing.
A loud, uncontrollable laugh—then tears spill at the same time.
They panic.
"Jaeahn—Jaeahn, hey!" Jongsuk steps forward quickly.
"What are you doing? Why are you laughing? Why are you crying? Snap out of it!"
Do Hwan grips her shoulders gently.
"Calm down, Jaeahn. Look at us. Breathe."
Slowly… Jaeahn stops. Her laugh fades, her tears dry.

Flashback — Last Night
When Jaeahn was watching TV, she was already planning everything.
She had sent all the information with another hidden plan, directly into Hyejin's boss's laptop.
She made it look like Hyejin was spying on her own boss.
A cold, unknown voice had called Jaeahn.
Her heartbeat had grown faster.
"How can I believe you? Who are you?" the man asked.
"I'm your guardian angel," Jaeahn replied calmly.
"Believe me or don't. Your choice. But Hyejin has all the information about the bone-marrow experiment."
"Why are you telling me this? I don't even know you."
"I'm one of your VIPs," Jaeahn said.
"I've done my job. Whether you believe me or not… that's not my concern."
She hung up.
A cold voice echoed elsewhere.
"Bring that girl—Hyejin—here. Finish her."
Next scene:
Her boss grabs Hyejin by the arm and pushes her to the wall.
The gun points at her head.
"I'm begging you—spare me… have mercy!" Hyejin cries.
"We don't need you anymore."
BANG.
BANG.
BANG.
Six shots.
Blood splashes across Hyejin's yellow dress.
"You… knew from the start…"
"You… knew it… all…" she whispers with her last breath.
Hyejin falls. Dead.

Flashback Ends — Present
A slow, cold smile forms on Jaeahn's face.
She looks satisfied. Like something inside her has finally awakened.
Not revenge.
Something stronger.
A volcano finally erupting.
In that chilling atmosphere, her voice cuts through:
"Now wait and watch," she whispers.
"Now I'm going to sue all of you."
Do Hwan and Jongsuk stare, shocked.
They never expected this.
Jongsuk steps closer.
"What you do… I'm with you. I know you can do it."
---
Taking the Case
The news confirms:
Hyejin's murder case is open.
Jaeahn decides to take it—whether as a public defender or prosecutor.
Jongsuk instantly panics.
"Why would you take that case? If you get caught, what will we do?! No—let ME take it!"
"No," Jaeahn says. "Believe me."
"Why are you asking? You know I trust you, bloody—fine!" Jongsuk shouts.
"But I'm taking the case WITH you. Don't argue!"
Do Hwan frowns.
"But why take it at all?"
"Because I need to know the truth behind that mission," Jaeahn says, her voice low.
"I need to end it. My brother left it half-finished.
Now… I will finish it. And I will kill them with my own hands."
They join hands, cheer, and laugh.
A small moment of warmth.
Then—
"Wait, I forgot something important!" Jaeahn says.
"What?!" Jongsuk asks.
"Food. I'm hungry. My brain only works after my tummy is full."
They laugh.
Do Hwan goes to cook something.
---
The Envelope
The doorbell rings.
"I'll get it," Jaeahn says.
"No—wait. I'll go," Jongsuk says, walking to the door.
There's no one there.
Only an envelope.
"Anyone…? No," Jongsuk mutters.
He picks up the envelope.
The moment he sees the letter inside, his entire body freezes. His hands shake violently.
The letter reads:
"It's me.
Did you think running would hide you from me?
Did you forget your 62 days?"
Jongsuk's eyes widen.
Inside his mind:
Please don't do anything… please leave me…
A strange, terrified expression covers his face.
