"Sis! What did Benjamin's mom call you about just now? Is she still not giving up?" Lily Turner asked her sister as soon as she stepped into Alice Turner's room.
Upon hearing this, Alice knew that her sister had seen her answering the phone earlier. Since Lily had seen it, hiding it from her would make her feel like an outsider.
"His mother indeed hasn't given up, but he himself has decided to withdraw." Alice candidly shared about meeting Benjamin at noon.
Benjamin proactively withdrawing truly surprised Lily, "He actually withdrew voluntarily; that's really something to be happy about."
Five years ago, Benjamin normally dismissed everyone in the Turner Family; within half a year of marriage, the times he'd visited the Turner home could be counted on one hand.
Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood felt quite aggrieved about this, but since they were the ones who chose this son-in-law, they couldn't say much.
