"Thunder Bagua!"
Kaido's mace, crackling with dense lightning, slammed directly into the falling meteorite. With a thunderous bang, the giant rock shattered into tiny pieces. Kaido stood firm, acting as if the impact was nothing at all.
Fujitora smiled, noting the extraordinary strength of the veteran Emperor of the Sea. "As a Marine, it is my duty to eliminate pirates," he said calmly before rushing forward. He pressed his gravity-imbued blade toward Kaido's head. Kaido felt a crushing weight, as if a mountain were pressing down on him, but he only became more excited. He preferred this head-on style of fighting compared to Carl's habit of throwing Devil Fruits around.
The mace and blade collided, sending a deafening roar through the sky. Because they were fighting in mid-air, Kaido was eventually forced down toward the sea by the intense gravity. However, he used his ability to fly and soared back up before touching the water. Fujitora stayed on the offensive, pressing down again, but Kaido swung his mace with another Thunder Bagua, knocking the blade aside.
"Oh, I can't let you do that," Kizaru's voice drifted over. A sword made of pure light intercepted Kaido's mace. Kizaru's expression turned serious as he felt the Emperor's monstrous power, though he kept his tone casual, calling Kaido a terrifying creature. Together, Kizaru and Fujitora worked to keep Kaido pinned down.
Meanwhile, Sengoku and Vice Admiral Tsuru used Moonwalk to step through the air and corner Doflamingo. Doflamingo was in a foul mood. He didn't know how his spy, Vergo, had been caught, but Sengoku's intention to kill him was obvious. He thought of his late brother, Rosinante, and felt as if the whole world was seeking revenge on his behalf.
Doflamingo tried to retreat, but Carl and Law were already behind him, blocking his path. He was trapped. "Marshal Sengoku, are you really working with the Straw Hats?" Doflamingo sneered, trying to insult Sengoku's sense of justice.
Carl laughed at the suggestion. "Don't talk nonsense," he countered. "The Marines want to arrest you, and we want to kill you. We just happened to show up at the same time. Once you're dead, we'll go back to fighting the Marines". Law stepped forward, his eyes cold. "Today is the day you die, Doflamingo. Give up".
Doflamingo looked around desperately. Even Kaido was too busy fighting the Admirals to help him. But just as his situation seemed hopeless, a large ship approached. Standing on the deck was a man with messy black hair and missing teeth.
"Zehahaha! This looks like a party! Let me join the fun!" Blackbeard laughed loudly.
Sengoku's face darkened instantly. "Blackbeard! Why are you here, you bastard?".
"Zehahaha! I'm here because a friend asked for help," Blackbeard shouted. "My dear friend Doflamingo, are you alright? I rushed here the moment I heard you were in trouble!".
Doflamingo's signature grin returned to his face. It seemed he had been quick to make an alliance with the new Emperor. However, Carl wasn't intimidated.
"Hey, Blackbeard! Since you haven't eaten yet, I have a fresh Devil Fruit right here," Carl teased. "I promise it tastes better than that last one I fed you. If it's bad, it's free!".
Tsuru and Kizaru couldn't help but chuckle, while Law just shook his head at Carl's unpredictable behavior. Blackbeard's face turned red with rage as he remembered being force-fed a dog-type fruit by Carl in the past. He hated Carl more than anyone, but he also knew Carl was dangerous because he didn't fight by the usual rules.
"You bastard! I'm going to settle the score with you right now!" Blackbeard shouted as dark mist rose from his body.
"Why stay down there?" Carl continued to mock him. "You have the Lion-Lion Fruit powers, don't you? Come up here and let everyone see the flying, barking dog!".
Furious, Blackbeard struck the water with his hand. "Lion Majesty: Earth Coiling!". Huge lions made of seawater rose from the ocean and lunged at Carl. Carl showed no fear; he drew his sword and sliced through the water constructs easily. He noted that Blackbeard's control wasn't nearly as good as the original Golden Lion's.
Blackbeard didn't stop, sending a barrage of water arrows toward Carl. They were slow and weak, and Carl blocked them without much effort. Still, Carl remained on guard. He knew Blackbeard was full of tricks and shouldn't be underestimated, even if his current attacks seemed desperate.
