The girl who ran out unexpectedly was one of Tamar's minions. She found a quiet corner and made a call to Tamar. She explained everything when the phone call was connected and said, "It's true they are married, do come back immediately, or I'm afraid you'll lose him forever." She then hung up and cursed the 'beast'. She was there courtesy of Tamar's order, but she was secretly in love with the guy. She thought he might have a change of heart after seeing her beautiful and obedient nature. She never thought he was already engaged.
She searched the internet and found out that their wedding is in two weeks. She couldn't afford to offend the chief's daughter, as she knew it would be difficult for her if she got sued; she was already convicted thief years ago. She couldn't risk her life for one Playboy. She wanted to ruin the troublemaker's marriage first via Tamar. She swallowed her bitterness and moved on to the next target.
Two weeks later, it was the chief's daughter's wedding. Havila and Keveelsky were the representatives as they were the only married couple in their friends circle. Clarinda was also there as a maid because of her pretend relationship with the chief's daughter, so it was obvious Georgia was also there. Tamar also came back giving her boyfriend an excuse of attending a friend's wedding so the doctor, naturally, accompanied her. She had let go but she still wanted to ask Keveelsky why he cut her credit cards.
It seems like he didn't appreciate her 'favor' anymore. That day, everyone knew who Havila's husband was. The Stans were the most shocked. What the mother and daughter tried very hard to prevent from happening many years ago still happened several years later. It could only be called fate. Clarinda was fuming ones she found out. How can her cousin who is an orphan marry better than her?
She carried her juice and trotted to Havila 'happily'. She decided to get pregnant very soon so as to marry Georgia as soon as possible. She had noticed him looking at Havila's pictures secretly while in a daze, she could tell he had started regretting letting Havila go. She wanted to pin him down and it worked and their wedding had already been arranged for the next month. She won that battle but she still could not take it that Havila had a better man.
She sauntered forward towards Havila and pretended to slip after reaching her with one goal in mind, to stain her dress. With her quick reflexes, Havila dodged the fluid and smirked. Then she said worriedly, "Hey cousin, be careful not to fall or you might lose your pregnancy. What would happen if you fell?" Clarinda blushed for being found out and redirected the conversation, "Don't wish my baby bad luck sister." She said in a loud voice and it attracted a nearby crowd who started looking at them.
Havila knew this was not the venue for their banter so she kept quiet and apologized, "I'm sorry cuz, I wouldn't wish you bad luck." She then went to her husband's side. He noticed her changes and hugged her in his warm embrace and asked,"What happened? Seems like you are burying your fury and it is killing you." He kissed her forehead and smiled. She felt consoled and answered, "Someone tried to stain my limited edition gown intentionally then she accused me of wishing her baby bad luck."
He saw her brooding face and his smile broadened capturing the females hearts. He removed his coat and put in on her shoulders and said, "Let's go and have a rest somewhere." He then noticed the bruises on her ankle, he knelt down gaining a lot of gasps from the onlookers. He removed her shoes and made her stand on his feet. They were very close and their hearts were racing.
In that moment, they forgot about everyone else and maintained eye contact. The onlookers, some were envious while others were jealous, only two men were happy. One; because his girlfriend doesn't have a chance with that man anymore, the other; was genuinely happy for her. He had hurt her and she found a better person. He could now live his life in peace without any guilt. Lency came over with a new bag and handed it over to Keveelsky, he removed flats from the bag and helped Havila put them on
He asked, "Feeling better?" "Much better, thanks." Havila replied. She winked at her best friend and it caught the hearts at the men as well as ladies as everyone's attention was on them. Keveelsky hugged her shoulders and directed her to their table to have some snacks. He pulled a chair out for her and also sat. He was now sweating because he had noticed his 'savior' from the corner of his eyes. He worried that Havila might misunderstand. He was on high guard.
Tamar was also on the same table, so she greeted Kevvelsky intimately, "Hey Keev." She wanted to hug him but she dodged her and only nodded to her. She fumed and shoute, "Now that you married her, you forgot about me. I know I am the one who didn't want to marry you, but what about me saving you years ago? Why did you cut my credit cards? After finding a wife you forgot about everyone else. How shameless."
Keveelsky only looked at her coldly and did not speak to her. He had no time to waste on a woman like her. After investigating her, he now knew her true colors, so he only stared at her. Seeing the man ignoring her, she looked around and saw the people looking at them so she raised her voice, "What kind of business man are you? You promised to marry me to return the favor and I rejected it. You went back on your words and cut off all my funds."
Havilla had enough of this ignorant lady so she stopped Keveelsky from speaking and said, "Your funds? did you work for them? Are you even worthy to receive his help?" Tamar smirked and said haughtily, " Yes, I am worthy enough. At least I saved his life before. What about you? What have you ever done for him? After tying to steal your cousin's man and failed, you moved to a new target. This time you managed to fool him, congratulations."
Clarinda who was happy by what transpired pretended to care and defend her sister and said, "Tamar, don't say that, it was clearly us who wronged sister first. Please forgive me sister." She then bowed deeply. The bystanders started to make an opinion of Havila. One said, "She stole her cousin's man and is still making her bow in front of her, how shameless." Georgia seeing everything happening came forward and took Clarinda and bowed too saying," Sorry Havi."
The people misunderstood his gesture as him rejecting the girl for her cousin. He dragged Clarinda who had a victorious smile away. Tamar came forward and said, "You see that? That was the love of his life, not you. Wake up and don't pretend with this marriage. Havila looked at her like an idiot and said, "Oh, really? At least I didn't abort my husband's child" Everyone gasped at that, even the doctor raised his antennae.
