Selina shoved his jacket back to him nonchalantly.
"Acting as if you care doesn't suit you," she taunted under her breath, glaring at him, then suddenly felt nervous as she averted her gaze. "You should look after yourself instead."
Zane's expression remained unreadable. He hadn't expected her to be this stubborn—especially after the obedient, sweet persona she usually put on around him back then.
Lately, she'd become overbearing, sharp-mouthed and cheeky instead. Could this be her true colour? He raised a brow as their gazes pierced each other.
She truly didn't seem scared of him anymore.
"Don't be stubborn. Put it on," he said gently as he swung onto his bike. "Otherwise, you'll have only yourself to blame when you're coughing through work tomorrow."
