"I thought you would request a higher position than this. Surprisingly, you're more thoughtful than I expected," Clarissa remarked, her tone deliberate to stir something dangerous.
"What does Miss Clarissa mean?" One of the team whispered, her voice tight with unease.
"I heard about the incident involving her interview and the receptionist who was fired for trying to embarrass her," Jasper said, his voice quivering with dread. "We should be careful not to upset her… or maybe just avoid her?"
