Her heart leapt a little.
She took the stairs up and found herself stepping into a narrow corridor lined with full light panels. At the end stood a pair of heavy doors.
Pushing them open, she entered what looked like a traditional library, rows upon rows of shelves stacked with physical books. No holograms, no terminals, it was a stack contrast to the Data Hall.
It felt… nostalgic.
A small smile crept onto her face before she knew it.
"I've never seen anyone smile after entering this dusty place."
Kiah turned to the left and saw an old man sitting on his desk and the side. The librarian.
"Really? What do they usually do?"
The old man sighed.
"They look at the room in disgust, cursing at the asswipe who didn't publish his paper in a data cube. Then they grab what they're looking for, take a picture, and leave."
Kiah gave the man a look of pity.
"It must be tough on you, huh?"
He shrugged.
