Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – Three More Years Later

Chapter 4

Three more years had passed since Robin and the others had been discovered. Now sixteen years old, Dante opened his status window, revealing his spatial powers and the dormant dragon form that was on the verge of awakening.

Suddenly, his mother's voice called out from downstairs, "Dante! Breakfast is ready!"

He closed the window and made his way to the kitchen, where he sat down at the table with his parents. They chatted casually as they ate, mostly about Dante's plans for the day. At one point, his mother asked, "So, what are you going to do today, sweetheart?"

Dante hesitated for a moment, pretending to think. In truth, he already had something planned. "I'm going to meet Margaret today," he said finally, "We need to discuss the new book."

Now that he was older, his mother trusted him to handle things on his own. She hadn't let him before simply because he'd been a child, but now—with powers like his—there wasn't much that could truly threaten him.

He thought briefly about the other book he'd copied, Game of Thrones, while he was still publishing parts of Harry Potter. Glancing once more at his parents, he smiled, then excused himself from the table.

After saying goodbye, Dante opened a portal and stepped through, appearing in a hidden alleyway in New York City. He took out his phone to check the location Margaret had sent, then started walking in that direction.

Meanwhile, Margaret had just sent the message and was now hurrying toward the café where they had arranged to meet. As she entered the building, she found a seat and started fixing her makeup nervously.

"Okay, Margaret," she whispered to herself, "you're about to meet the top author at the company. If you handle this well, you could be one step closer to becoming editor-in-chief."

She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself, unaware that someone was approaching. Then she looked up and saw a man with short blue hair, tanned skin, a well-toned physique, and golden eyes—he looked like he had walked straight out of a movie.

Dante, still walking through the city, thought to himself: I wonder if Barney's already been cheated on and turned into a jerk. And Robin—has he arrived here yet? I need to stop by their bar sometime to check. Anyway, with my current appearance, no one would ever connect me to a teenager.

When he arrived at the café, he spotted Margaret. Talking to someone in this world is always risky, he thought, you almost end up revealing things—like the name of the actress who played her.

Shaking those thoughts away, he approached her. She seemed distracted, so he gently called out, "Hey, Margaret. Sorry I'm late—here, let me sit."

Dante took a seat in front of her, and they began to discuss the new book and the details of the upcoming contract. But just as the conversation was starting to flow, Dante felt something shift inside him—a deep discomfort. His dragon power was awakening.

Sensing the urgency, he decided to end the meeting quickly. "I'm sorry, something urgent just came up. We'll talk later."

He rushed out and ducked into a nearby alleyway, preparing to teleport somewhere secluded before the transformation could complete. Margaret, however, grew suspicious of his sudden departure. Her future at the company depended on him—if she could handle this, she might finally make it to editor-in-chief.

So she followed him, stepping into the alley shortly after he did. There, she saw him on his knees, clearly struggling. Concerned, she rushed over and tried to help, even pulling out her phone to call for an ambulance.

Dante looked up, surprised to see her. "Margaret, I… I need you to back away," he tried to say, but before he could explain, a sound caught his attention.

At the entrance of the alley stood a group of four vampires. Their leader sneered as he looked at Dante. "Well, well, a little puppy awakening his powers. That wet dog smell… you disgust me."

Dante narrowed his eyes and responded coldly, "Better that than smelling like a rotting corpse."

Margaret turned toward the newcomers and shouted, "Don't try anything! I'll call the police!" She held up her phone threateningly.

The leader chuckled darkly. "So she's your partner, little wolf? How cute."

One of the vampires vanished and reappeared beside her, snatching the phone from her hands. In a flash, he returned to the leader and handed it over. The leader crushed the phone with a single hand.

"I guess your little friend didn't tell you about the real world, huh?" he taunted. "Creatures like us exist. Vampires."

Margaret, her voice trembling, asked, "C-creatures?"

"Vampires," the leader grinned. "Now… kill her."

Just as he lunged forward, Dante appeared in front of him, catching him by the throat mid-air.

"Thanks for talking nonstop," Dante growled. "It gave me enough time to complete my awakening."

Then, without mercy, he ripped the vampire's head clean off and glared at the remaining three. With devastating punches and kicks, he took them down one by one, crushing them with overwhelming force.

When it was done, he scoffed. "Pathetic trash. Didn't even let me warm up."

Then he turned to Margaret, who was breathing heavily, overwhelmed by everything she'd witnessed. As he stepped closer to her, she suddenly threw herself at him, kissing him deeply.

So that's it, Dante realized. It must be the pheromones my body released while transforming. Normal male pheromones wouldn't affect anyone like this… but the dragon's—those are different.

Looking at her state, flushed and breathless in his arms, he made a decision. Without a word, he teleported the two of them to a hotel room.

There, he began undressing her gently before removing his own clothes. Margaret, entirely under the influence of the dragon's presence, clung to him with desire. Dante lifted her into his arms and carried her to the bed.

Two hours later, after a night of intense passion, Dante lay with her in his arms, deep in thought.

Well… who would've thought she'd be my first woman in this world?

As Margaret slept peacefully beside him, he closed his eyes and whispered to himself, "I better take a nap too. When she wakes up, I'll have a lot of explaining to do…"
