Aiden walked right past a girl standing on the landing above, partially hidden in the blind spot of the staircase. Aiden was too deep in thought about Ethan, the Demon Lord markings, and his upcoming meeting to notice her.
The platinum-blonde beauty watched him disappear around the corner with sharp green eyes.
She descended the stairs gracefully yet with clear urgency, her long, silky platinum-blonde hair swaying with every step.
"Onee-chan!" Violetta called softly as she reached the bottom and knelt quickly in front of her collapsed sister. "You alright? Was that… Lord Aiden?"
Valentina looked up slowly, her fingers gently tracing the spot on her cheek where Aiden had kissed her. Her eyes were completely dazed, lost in a dreamy, lovesick haze. Her cheeks were still burning crimson, lips parted, breathing shallow.
