"Yeah, you can say so…" There was ambiguity in the way Adam answered her. "The alpha is so hard to deal with." The last words sounded like he was complaining. "I am sorry for what happened to you."
Meera's heart melted when she heard that, she had never thought there would be someone, who would share the same sentiment like her about Dalton.
"Thank you," Meera murmured. She looked at Adam and then smiled softly at him. "You are the first friend that I have here." That was an honest statement from her, since she didn't feel close with Collin or Darren.
Both of them were nice and treated her with respect, but their opinion was very bias, since they were Dalton's beta and gamma. There was no way they would put the alpha in the bad light. They wouldn't be able to see this matter from her perspective.
"You need to stay strong." Adam patted Meera's shoulder. "I know this is hard for you, but you need to understand that this is not your fault to feel this way."
