There was awkward silence between them for a long time, before the waiter came with Dervan's order. They ate in silence for a while, only the clinking of cutleries on ceramic plates could be heard.
Finally, Alessia sighed and leaned back on her chair, gulping down the last remaining bit of her orange juice.
Dervan had already finished minutes before her, and he looked up from his phone to see that there was a small piece of pancake left on her plate.
"Why don't you eat that last bit?" He asked.
Alessia's eyes followed his line of sight. "I'm full."
Dervan lifted a brow. "Really?"
Alessia nodded slowly. "Is there something wrong?"
"...No, it's fine." Dervan said with a sigh as he gestured for a passing waiter and fished a credit card from his pocket to give to him.
The waiter swiped it across a machine and handed it back to him before he walked away. Alessia blinked several times at the silent interaction.
'He didn't even ask for the price…'
