Abir Ajad continued his speech.

"The term Pure Human was chosen because, according to the folklore, the Pure Human Modhu was immune to curses, mutations, poisoning, and illusions."

"Umm, sir, did a Pure Human have supernatural powers?" a student asked.

"Short answer is no. But a Pure Human can use the maximum potential of his body — sometimes even exceeding it. Normally, a human can't use their full output because it would break the body or cost their life. According to biology, it's impossible. But a Pure Human can suppress those limits. According to the folklore, Modhu surpassed the limits of a human… but he did not have supernatural powers."

Noor stood in front of the construction storeroom gate.

A key lock hung there.

Should I go inside?

Maybe I should…

He entered and locked the door behind him.

Cling.

"Who's there?" one of Roy's men said, smoking a cigarette.

Noor stood silently.

"Roy, look who it is."

"Oh, look who it is," they mocked. "The rat from yesterday who couldn't move, now standing like a hero."

Noor clenched his fist.

"Sir, what are the characteristics of a Pure Human?" another student asked Abir Ajad.

"Well, since it's folklore mixed with science fiction, there are many traits. But some of the main ones are:

"First — they are emotionally weaker than an average human, but can withstand large amounts of trauma where normal humans would give up.

"Second — they are physically weak from childhood.

"Third — their emotions heavily affect their physical condition.

"Fourth — they are extremely durable, and that durability increases depending on the situation and emotional triggers.

"Fifth — they can use their body's potential to the maximum or even surpass it based on emotional triggers, situations, or mental state. They can overpower people many times bigger than them.

"But their biggest drawback is this: even though they can withstand emotional and physical pain a normal human cannot, the pain they feel is far greater than what a normal human experiences.

"That means if a normal person feels pain at 10%… a Pure Human could experience the same pain at 100 to 1000% intensity."

"That's sad…" Ashraf whispered.

"Noor still hasn't come back yet…"

"So kids," Abir Ajad laughed, "don't take it too seriously. It's just folklore and science fiction. Now, let's continue Modhu's story."

Inside the storeroom…

"Hey, you. Don't you value your life? Go away."

Noor stood there unfazed.

"Oi idiots, shut up," Roy said, getting up. "This kid's got guts… but no brain."

"Your friend's parents already filed a case against me. Beating him up was fun, but it caused trouble."

(Shit… I want to punch that bastard. How can he say that proudly? Move, body… move…)

"If you think by coming here I'll beat you, then congrats — I'm not taking your bait. I'm entering politics soon. I don't want trouble. Beating your friend already hurt my reputation. So get lost."

He threw his cigarette at Noor.

Noor didn't react.

Shoosh.

Shoosh.

"Little bitch, go away!"

"Haha!"

"Haha!"

They mocked him.

Noor turned around and walked toward the door.

(What can I even do…? Running away while I still can…)

As he grabbed the key, it slipped and fell.

One of Roy's men whispered something to him.

"Oi—wait," Roy called.

Noor picked up the key.

"What kind of relationship do you have with Ria?" Roy asked.

"Nothing special." Noor walked toward the door.

"Oi, shitbag."

Noor turned.

Smack.

WHAM.

Before he could react, a straight punch smashed into his face, sending him flying backward into the door.

"Ghk—"

His nose started bleeding.

Roy grabbed his face and threw him into a pile of broken glass.

Then he stomped on Noor's neck.

Glass shards pierced into Noor's chest as Roy crushed down harder.

"You little piece of shit. You're the reason Ria rejected me! I'll finish you off right here!"

"Haha! Look at him!"

Roy finally snapped.

"Do it fast, man!"

Noor was suffocating.

Are these people… really human?

I don't want to die like this…

I don't…

"Ahh—"

His body began to go limp.

"Just die, you piece of shit."

Roy's leg trembled.

Noor couldn't breathe.

The pain had passed anything he could imagine.

Now I want… just one thing…

Only one thing…

"Oi, what's he saying?"

"How is he even talking? He should be dead by now."

"All I want is to—gaaah—"

Roy pressed harder on his throat.

"All I want is to—"

"KILL THEM ALL."

Schk!

Noor grabbed a glass shard and stabbed it into Roy's thigh.

"ARGH!" Roy screamed, falling backward.

Noor got up, coughing.

He kicked the shard deeper into Roy's thigh.

Sprt!

Blood sprayed across the ground.

"Arrgh!!"

"You idiots! What are you doing? Kill him!"

All of them rushed at Noor.

Noor grabbed another sharp glass shard.

One man shoved him backward while another punched him in the face.

Noor didn't flinch.

He stabbed the one pushing him — in the back, then in the ribs.

Schk!

Sckk!

"Arrgh!"

One fell. The other clung to him weakly.

Noor kept stabbing until he dropped.

Now Noor stood shaking, gripping the shard so tightly it cut his hand.

He didn't feel it anymore.

"What's with this crazy bastard…? He took out two of us!"

"I don't wanna get stabbed!"

"Gang up on him!"

They rushed him.

Roy, groaning, was dragged away by three men.

Ten of the others shoved Noor into the wall, trying to crush him with sheer force.

"ARRRGHHH—!!"

Noor screamed in rage and pain.

He couldn't move.

"Crush this bastard!"

Noor jabbed his finger into the nearest man's eye.

"AAHHHH MY EYE!"

The man fell.

Taking advantage of the imbalance, Noor punched another in the throat.

"Ghak—!"

He released Noor.

Noor dropped to the floor and crawled under their legs.

They stumbled and fell.

He spotted a metal pipe.

He grabbed it and swung with full force at the nearest skull.

THUNK.

Before they could stand, he kept smashing their heads.

"One… two… three… four… five… six… seven… eight…"

Before he could hit the next one, someone snatched the pipe from behind.

WHAM!

A heavy kick slammed into Noor's chest.

He tried to stand, but—

WHAM.

The metal pipe crashed into his neck.

Crack.

Drop.

Noor's motionless body collapsed to the ground.
