Chapter 170 - Overwhelming Pressure

Steve Rogers had pushed the plasma pulse cannon to its maximum output, the scorching plasma stream heating the battlefield for three to four full minutes.

The pale blue plasma arced like living electricity, swirling in the crater and melting the surrounding concrete and soil into a pool of molten rock, the dense fumes rising in waves.

From this hellish lava, a massive black claw emerged, and Norman Osborn crawled out, looking completely disheveled. His otherwise indestructible skin bore multiple scorch marks. The plasma stream had created tens of thousands of degrees of heat at the crater's bottom—enough to challenge even Godzilla.

The thrust of the Titan's sword had not pierced his tough hide, but the impact had damaged the tendons beneath and even rattled his organs. A dull pain radiated throughout his body.

Steve gripped the sword with one hand, plunging it downward with all his strength, forcing the emerging Osborn back into the molten pool while continuously hammering him with the plasma cannon.

The molten waves churned violently, Norman thrashing like a king cobra, arcs of plasma dancing over his scales and delivering secondary damage with every strike.

Tony Stark hovered silently above, watching the battle. Although Norman Osborn's power was weaker than anticipated during Titan's design, Steve's mastery of the machine made suppressing him look effortless—a near miracle given he had only recently learned to pilot Titan.

Unlike the MK series, Titan's onboard AI, Veronica, was extremely limited. It could not autonomously handle complex operations like J.A.R.V.I.S., leaving most functions for manual control. The neural interface imposed immense strain on the pilot's mind.

Operating an eighty-meter-tall mech with such precision required information-processing far beyond a normal human's capacity.

That Steve could execute such refined, precise maneuvers with ease was remarkable. Even Tony Stark, unwilling as he was to admit it, could not have piloted Titan to this degree, even with J.A.R.V.I.S.'s assistance.

"Boom!"

Norman Osborn dug through the molten pool from below, emerging at the Titan's back. He was in a horrendous state—his face nearly unrecognizable, deep skull exposed, his body covered in wounds, and even his internal organs visible.

Yet, having incorporated more Godzilla DNA, his vitality surged. Wounds that would have crippled him before barely slowed him now; he moved as if unscathed.

He leapt onto Titan's back, his razor-sharp claws tearing at the armor modules.

Titan's main armor, using the same technology as the MK2, distributed external force evenly. On a smaller MK2, this could withstand Broly's punches. On Titan, Osborn's attack felt like a mere tickle.

"Vzzzzz!"

The electric cells in Norman's body conducted a massive surge to his dorsal fins, which instantly discharged enough energy to annihilate a human in an instant. The fins glowed sequentially, transferring energy to his throat.

"Radiation Line!"

Unable to pierce Titan's armor with claws, he planned to unleash an atomic breath powerful enough to destroy the mech.

Before he could, Titan's chain sword unlatched, each blade segment separating under magnetic repulsion to form a hundred-meter-long whip.

Steve, controlling the whip, manipulated each segment's magnetic field with precision, making it move like a living serpent.

The whip tore through the air with a shrill scream.

Norman had no time to dodge. The high-elasticity chain sword wrapped around his neck, the sharp blades catching in his scales.

"Zzzzzz!"

The neural-muscle system maxed out, humming at high frequency as the hydraulic drives exploded with force.

Norman was lifted, swung in the air several times, and slammed into the bio-lab.

"Boom!"

The entire bio-lab collapsed, the ground shaking violently, sending bricks and dust flying.

Steve yanked Norman from the rubble, swung him again, and smashed him back into the debris.

Even with the Seventh Fleet submerged in the ocean, he couldn't relax; his intent was clear—Norman Osborn must die.

After fifteen swings, the bio-lab was erased from the map, leaving only a massive crater, steel-reinforced concrete pulverized into fine powder.

Norman lay battered, most of his dorsal fins broken, scales inverted, flesh shredded, even leaking uranium from storage sacs.

The chain sword coiled around his neck, revealing stark white bone.

Yet even with these grievous injuries, Norman lived, his wounds rapidly healing as he struggled against the chain sword with his forelimbs.

Steve was astonished by the creature's vitality—blunt force alone might not kill him.

He pressed the Titan's foot down on Norman, removed the rear-mounted railgun. Among Titan's arsenal, this weapon had the single highest destructive capacity. Even its kinetic energy alone could punch through mountains. He had avoided using it before to prevent collateral damage, but Norman's resilience left him no choice.

"Nick, have all nearby civilians been evacuated? Ordinary weapons can't damage the target. I'm ready to deploy the railgun."
