Chapter 380 - Chapter 379: Two Routes

After dinner, Erika, Ash, Misty, and the others said goodnight to Natsui, yawned, and went back to their respective dorm rooms to rest.

Natsui, accompanied by Gengar, left the restaurant and walked to the Pokémon Center's front desk.

Just a moment ago, Nurse Joy had notified him over the broadcast that after more than two hours of treatment, the few Pokémon he had left in her care had basically recovered.

It was now past one in the morning, and the Pokémon Center was dead quiet. Apart from his footsteps, there was not a single sound.

By this time, even the trainers staying here had all gone to sleep, storing up energy for the next day's journey. Few people would be out and about.

Passing through the brightly lit corridor, when Natsui arrived at the counter, Nurse Joy, who had been waiting for him, picked up a small tray from the side and handed it to him.

"Mr. Natsui, here are your Pokémon. They've fully recovered."

On the tray, four Ultra Balls and one regular Poké Ball were neatly arranged.

The four Ultra Balls, of course, contained the three legendary birds and Suicune, while the regular Poké Ball contained his Charizard.

Except for Charizard, the four legendary Pokémon had been in very poor condition, so after returning here, Natsui had immediately handed them over to Nurse Joy.

"Nurse Joy, I'm so sorry to trouble you so late at night."

"It's no problem," Nurse Joy said, shaking her head, with two large dark circles under her eyes. "The Pokémon Center often has trainers checking in at this hour. I'm already used to it. And besides, it's my duty."

Although he knew that what Nurse Joy was saying might just be politeness, Natsui still admired their professionalism.

Picking up the few Poké Balls, Natsui put them away in his waist pouch.

Including the newly caught Suicune, the number of Pokémon he was carrying had once again returned to twelve, a full roster.

Legendary Pokémon alone took up four slots. All he could say was that even after the carrying limit had been adjusted, it still felt like it wasn't enough.

I'll have to make adjustments later when I have a chance to go back to Sakuragi Park.

After saying thank you again, Natsui turned and left.

And behind the counter, watching his receding figure, Nurse Joy's face was full of curiosity.

A few hours ago, when she had taken these Poké Balls from Natsui, she hadn't thought much of it at first. But when she went to the treatment room to heal his Pokémon, she was suddenly startled by the four legendary Pokémon inside.

These are legendary Pokémon!

Although Greenfield was a tourist destination and many trainers came and went every day, to be honest, in all the time she had been here, she had never seen anyone who owned even one legendary Pokémon.

Let alone so many at once.

In fact, not just in Johto, she believed that even in other regions, there was probably no trainer who could produce so many legendary Pokémon at once.

How did he do it?

It's truly amazing.

But she soon realized that the battle at the crystal tower just now was definitely not, as Professor Oak had said, an illusion created by the Unown fighting each other. It must have been this young trainer, using the three legendary birds to actually fight against the three legendary beasts.

So, Professor Oak's guess was all wrong?

But surprise was surprise. With her excellent professional ethics, she would not reveal a trainer's secret.

Perhaps after the news was broadcast, many people would travel thousands of miles to come here in search of traces of the Unown and Ho-Oh. But they would never have thought that the main character of the incident was not some Unown, but this man.

Hehe, that's fine too.

Let this incident become a legend of Greenfield forever.

When he woke up the next morning, Natsui quickly washed up. When he walked out of the dorm, he found that Ash and the others had been waiting in the restaurant for a long time.

On the table in front of them were many scattered empty plates, clearly having already had breakfast. And on the floor were their piled-up luggage, looking as if they were ready to set off at any moment.

"Morning," Natsui greeted them.

Seeing him, Ash glanced up at the clock. "Still early? It's almost nine o'clock! You're so slow, Natsui. We've been waiting for you."

"Sorry…" Natsui rubbed his eyes and slowly walked to the dining table and sat down. "I went to bed very late last night, so I slept in a little this morning."

At this point, he looked around and asked strangely, "Hmm? Where are Aunt Delia and Professor Oak?"

Ash shrugged. "Professor Oak went to the manor with Mr. John early in the morning to investigate the secrets that the Unown might have left behind. As for my mom, she has already left here and returned to Pallet Town."

"Oh, right." Mentioning Delia, Ash remembered something else. "Before she left, Mom also told me to learn more from you."

What could he learn from me?

Natsui laughed at himself.

Delia had undoubtedly seen that he had so many legendary Pokémon and felt that he was no ordinary person, so she hoped that Ash could also get some of that luck.

Sigh, as a mother, she really is so thoughtful. But she has no idea just how lucky her own son is when it comes to encountering legendary Pokémon.

Just then, Erika pushed a portion of breakfast towards him. It was milk and sandwiches. Although it had gotten a bit cold, it was clear that it had been specially saved for him.

After saying thanks, Natsui finished the breakfast in just a few bites.

After he had finished eating, Ash and the others didn't delay any longer and all stood up to get their luggage.

The group left the Pokémon Center together. Everyone knew that they had to part ways again and embark on their respective journeys.

But for this parting, Misty, unusually, did not show much reluctance.

It wasn't that her feelings for Natsui had faded, but according to Natsui's and Ash's travel routes, they would meet again in a dozen or so days. At that time, she would see Natsui again.

With something to look forward to, the parting naturally became less important.

"Then take care, see you next time!~"

"Goodbye!"

Outside the Pokémon Center, Natsui and Erika said their farewells to Ash's group, and then they went their separate ways, one heading west and the other north.

And this time, since they had already arrived in Johto and no longer needed to ride Charizard, Natsui and Erika chose to walk to the next gym city.

They walked further and further away from the Pokémon Center, until a few minutes later, when he looked back, he could no longer see Ash and the others.

The sun shone down, and without the crystals, the two of them finally saw that the mountains and fields here were covered with golden sunflowers, a shimmering expanse of gold, looking very beautiful.

No wonder it was chosen as the most popular place for girls to visit. It really is beautiful.
