The guards were in four cars—two in front, two following behind the car where only Vishi, Vishnu, and Shika were sitting. Vishnu was driving. The atmosphere was silent.
Suddenly, Vishnu said to Vishi,"Hey man, do you need to go to your house to get something?"
Vishi thought for a moment."No… but could you transfer the assets of my parents to me?"
Vishnu looked at Shika, and Shika replied,"Yes, we can."
Vishi then asked Vishnu,"If you don't mind, could you tell me where we're going?"
"Why would I mind?" Vishnu said jokingly."We're going to the capital city—Vergenburg."
Vishi, after getting the answer, fell silent again and looked out of the window.But then Shika asked,"Why did you keep that guy… yeah, Hordon… with you? Why didn't you kill him too?"
Vishi didn't answer for some time, which made Shika assume he didn't want to talk. But finally he said,"Have you heard about the torture done on Lark Cent by Black Knight?"
Both Shika and Vishnu were shocked. Shika even turned to look directly into Vishi's eyes—eyes that were truly empty. She smirked and said to Vishnu,"You've got quite a friend here, ain't you… brother?"
Vishnu said,"I've told you before, right? Don't call me brother—we're twins if you look at our age."
Vishi asked,"You two are siblings?"
Both of them answered, "Yeah."
Vishnu continued,"We have different mothers. What did you think before?"
Vishi said,"I thought you two were some sort of childhood lovers with the way you looked at each other…"
He paused, then with a straight face added,"You know, even if you two love each other as siblings, I won't tell anybody."
He said it in such a serious tone that both Shika and Vishnu burst into laughter.
AFTER 2 HOURS — INSIDE THE PLANE
Vishnu and Shika were talking about things Vishi didn't understand—and didn't care to. So he escaped to the aircraft lavatory. He stood there facing the mirror, his face splashed with water.
Every time he closed his eyes, he saw glimpses of Ishi—just moments before she shot herself.
He thought,"You weren't a coward. Not everyone can kill themselves for someone else."
He stared into his own eyes."Or maybe you just wanted to cover up your fear of going back into society after the incident."
"No… the fear of death in front of you can never override the fear of society."
Vishi kept trying to make sense of Ishi's decision, trying to form a clear image of her in his mind.
Meanwhile, outside, Vishnu and Shika were discussing something else about Vishi.
Shika said,"Is your friend a fuckin' psychopath? Or someone from the dark triad? He even knew about Black Knight's torture—at what, age 12?!"
Vishnu said,"Yeah… he's always been like this."
After a moment, Shika asked,"Is he one of you guys?"
Vishnu thought for a bit."From what I've seen in the last three years… I don't think he is."He looked at Shika and added,"But I think things will get clearer today. THE SUPREME is asking for him for the same reason."
