"Hmm, maybe I should just destroy Konoha first and then kill Uchiha Itachi. I'm not picky," Bai Ye said casually. After all, he was invincible—do whatever you want.
Orochimaru stared blankly at Bai Ye, not expecting such a proposal.
"Do you think that with Sasuke-kun's current strength, once you leave—and without Konoha's protection—he'll be able to survive on his own?" Orochimaru asked in return.
"That's why I need you. After I leave, I'm putting Sasuke in your hands," Bai Ye replied.
After all, Sasuke was the coordinate that allowed him to come to this world. If something happened to Sasuke, he wouldn't be able to resurrect him from another world.
And Bai Ye had full confidence in Orochimaru's child-raising ability. This guy really could teach according to aptitude—no matter the personality, he could mold someone into something remarkable.
"Honestly, I'm a bit conflicted right now. Too many choices."
Bai Ye sat down, sounding troubled yet bragging effortlessly: "Should I simply destroy Konoha? Or rule the entire Land of Fire? Or just defeat the entire ninja world alone? Feels like I could do any of them without much effort."
"If it's about ruling the whole ninja world—well, I've already ruled a planet before, so I lack the motivation to keep governing."
Even Orochimaru felt that Bai Ye was too arrogant.
He actually wanted to defeat the entire ninja world by himself. Did he think everyone in the ninja world was a woman waiting for him to pluck?
"So help me," Bai Ye raised his head. "After I destroy the whole of Konoha, you can be the one to manage it. How about that?"
"What is the goal of your life? Immortality? Absolute power? I can achieve any of that for you easily," Bai Ye said.
"Looks like I have no reason to refuse," Orochimaru said with a sinister smile. "Since that's the case, with Bai Ye-kun's help, it seems I need to completely redo my plan to destroy Konoha."
"Plan?" Bai Ye asked, puzzled. "You need a plan to destroy Konoha? Isn't that giving them too much credit?"
"For something like this, if you're willing, you just move your hand and everything is solved. Why bother going through the trouble?" Bai Ye asked.
Orochimaru: "…"

In the Hokage building, Sarutobi Hiruzen looked at a subordinate's report."You're saying the Impure World Reincarnation of Uchiha Madara succeeded?"
The ninja bowed. "Yes, Hokage-sama. We tested it—every reincarnated ninja, including the First Hokage, has already been sealed. We no longer need to worry about Orochimaru summoning them again."
"I see. Looks like the future of the ninja world will have fewer troubles," Hiruzen nodded—but then his attention was caught by noise outside.
"What are they shouting about?" he frowned, walking to the window. Only then did he hear the uproar outside.
"Ninja World Wars can be lost, but Bai Ye must die!"
Outside, countless villagers had gathered, shouting together, hoping to force Hiruzen to deal with Bai Ye.
"This…" Hiruzen didn't expect something like this. He looked down, troubled.
He thought differently from others. After seeing Bai Ye's chakra levels, which were like a tailed beast, he had considered recruiting Bai Ye into Konoha—or at least maintaining good relations.
Unfortunately, Konoha wasn't run by Hiruzen alone. For the villagers to be stirred up like this, the major clans were clearly fanning the flames behind the scenes.
Because of Bai Ye, the female heirs of these clans didn't even dare leave their homes. The impact was too damaging.
These clans couldn't act directly, so they planned to use the villagers to pressure the Hokage.
And now the commotion had drawn the attention of the entire village.
"These people…"In a corner, even Naruto Uzumaki—who originally had hostility toward Bai Ye—felt a bit sympathetic. This scene looked far too much like his own childhood.
Before long, Hiruzen walked out of the building. As soon as he appeared, the crowd grew even more agitated.
"Hokage-sama, I absolutely disagree with letting Bai Ye stay in Konoha!"
"Konoha must not shelter Bai Ye! Otherwise, in a month even the young widows will be pregnant!"
"Third Hokage, you're being foolish! To prevent Konoha's downfall, Bai Ye must not remain!"
…
Faced with the furious masses, Hiruzen was completely cornered and didn't know how to calm them.
After a long moment, he finally shouted: "Everyone, calm down! What happened in the book won't necessarily happen here. I've spoken with Bai Ye—he is not as evil as you think."
But his words had little effect. The villagers didn't accept his explanation at all—their stance remained firm.
Meanwhile, at another location, several men quietly slipped back into a small hut.
"The plot has completely gone off the rails now, and we're at a huge risk of being exposed. We weren't even supposed to appear in the story."
A white man covered in mechanical armor said anxiously, "If we take action and show too much strength, Konoha will suspect us. And we still don't know who that anonymous author was—how could someone reveal the entire future like that?"
"I can already feel that our presence has drawn Konoha's attention. We might be exposed at any moment."
The man gritted his teeth.
These were reincarnators from another world. The white one was the person Bai Ye had spared earlier.
Their mission was connected to the Konoha Crush Plan. But with the Prophecy Book revealed, everything spiraled out of control. Orochimaru had disappeared, and without a target, they didn't know what to do next.
"What should we do now? Orochimaru is gone, the Konoha Crush Plan has no progress—if this continues, the Main God will erase us for low scores," one reincarnator said anxiously.
—
"Mr. Bai Ye, the Hokage is looking for you."Inside the inn, Orochimaru had already left. An Anbu member quietly arrived and spoke.
"Oh? Because of the villagers?" Bai Ye asked.
"The Hokage only asked that you come. I know nothing else," the Anbu replied softly.
"I understand." Bai Ye nodded and followed behind him out of the inn.
Before long, he noticed that although the path led toward the Hokage building, it became increasingly remote.
Interesting. So it's Root, huh.Bai Ye showed no reaction, simply walking behind the Anbu, waiting for the moment they moved.
After a while, when they passed a corner in a narrow alley, a flash of steel gleamed—then blood splattered across the wall.
Bai Ye withdrew his hand. The ninja before him had his head burst open like a watermelon hit by a sledgehammer. The long blade in the man's hand dropped halfway through a swing, clattered twice, and he collapsed.
Looking at the corpse before him, Bai Ye smiled."Don't blame me for being ruthless. You people in Konoha made the first move."
